ESL "errors"?
[edit]A recent edit summary of yours caught my attention: [1].
While I thank you for your actual contribution; as regards the way you phrase your edit summaries, can I ask you to consider toning down your choice of words in the future? While some of your changes are indeed corrections of outright mistakes, others are more a matter of preference. The English Wikipedia is not just a project for those with perfect grasp of the language, and I would personally prefer it if you characterized your edits as "copyediting" rather than calling out "errors". Especially the way your characterization of these "errors" (some of which definitely aren't) as "English as a second language errors" create needless distance between editors with English as their first language, and those with English as a secondary language (like me).
And oh, please don't mark changes where you correct others as minor. Any change where you claim somebody is wrong, where you claim your version is superior, is almost by definition not one that "could never be the subject of a dispute". Please see Help:Minor edit. Thank you. CapnZapp (talk) 11:01, 4 December 2022 (UTC)
