Hello! :)

[edit]

I see you are making several additions to Massively multiplayer online role-playing game about The Saga of Ryzom. While everyone is welcome to improve Wikipedia by editing, there are some guidelines I would encourage you to read, as there are problems with the content you are adding. Please give a look to wp:ADVERT and wp:UNDUE as it appears that the content being added to the MMORPG article is an advertisement for the game, giving it undue weight. In order to stay in the article, I suspect that these additions will need citations to wp:Reliable sources.

I hope you will settle in, and make many useful additions to Wikipedia. :)- sinneed (talk) 17:22, 7 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of NeL

[edit]

A tag has been placed on NeL requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content. You may wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Proposed deletion of NeL

[edit]

The article NeL has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Fails WP:N and WP:V: non-notable software with no references to reliable, third-party published sources with a reputation for fact-checking and accuracy.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the Proposed Deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The Speedy Deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and Articles for Deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. I have included a few reference links on the NeL page now ! Is that enough ? Regards François --Francois77 (talk) 10:19, 8 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

1st, are you also Francois88? If so, please discontinue use of 1 account or the other, per Wikipedia:Username policy.

Yes both alias are mine, I created the second one only because when I tried to connect on the french Wikipedia I dont know why but it didn't want to reconize me !! :( Do you have any idea why ? --Francois77 (talk) 14:08, 8 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

2nd, please discuss the article at the article talk page, per wp:talk. This section is just a notification of the PROD at the article.- sinneed (talk) 13:00, 8 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry I am still unfamiliar with the Wikipedia system ! Thanks for the help Regards François--Francois77 (talk) 14:08, 8 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Cut and paste move

[edit]

I have already corrected the following, and will oppose the move if it is proposed:

Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you recently tried to give The Saga of Ryzom a different title by copying its content and pasting it into Ryzom. This is known as a "cut and paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is needed for attribution and various other purposes. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page. This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other articles that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Cut and paste move repair holding pen. This move will need admin assistance, please do not attempt to make the move yourself

In August 2006, the name "The Saga of Ryzom" was simplified to 'Ryzom' for marketing purposes, and I was just trying to correct that on Wikipedia. Thanks for the explanation I will try your way than, and again sorry for the trouble I am causing you by being a newbe to the wikipedia ways... regards, François --Francois77 (talk) 14:12, 8 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

You are quite welcome. No trouble for me. I just can't help much because I can't understand what you are trying to do. I would encourage you to go to the article wp:talk page and explain what you are trying to accomplish on each article. The wp:edit summaries on each change could be better as well.- sinneed (talk) 14:28, 8 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Citing sources

[edit]

This is a big article wp:Citing sources, but it is the next step to try to keep the NeL article from being killed. It needs citations to wp:Reliable sources. I hope that helps. :)- sinneed (talk) 14:32, 8 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I have cleaned the links for NeL is that alright now ? Regards François--Francois77 (talk) 14:37, 8 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
