Lacking a category for "Riding Projections" at Canadian Elections, i have inserted our Federal Riding Projections Graph under "Polls". Feel free to move it RP's if later amended. Latest graph is available at www.TrendLines.ca homepage or the Politics link.--Fredhutter 18:22, 1 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Can we tone it down just a bit[edit]

Fred, I happen to agree with you very much, but you're recent Oil edits would appear to be just a bit too self-promoting. Would it be asking to much if we moved some of the more personal content to the talk page? It won't survive like it is, would be my guess, but I think a more anonymous version might be supportable. Political correctness has not yet hit the rednecks in The Yukon ... thanx for the advice! --FreddyH> 06:58, 5 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

PC in the Yukon is not necessarily the concern. Wikipedia is not used for advertizing and we do not allow original research. I have done some quick online research and I don't think that "renowned" is exactly the word for the study in question. If you could source the work with something more than your own work, that would look a lot better. I also suggest toning down the article just a bit. Also, the section has been repeatedly blanked by a repeat vandal. I just replaced if with the previous version. I leave it to you to decide whether or not to tone it down.
You should also be aware that Wikipedian users are being vandalized by reverting vandalism to this section. Psy guy (talk) 13:29, 8 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Solar variation[edit]

Ditto comment above on Solar variation. Please don't spam the page with self-promo images. Also they are far too large. Learn to use the thumb tag. William M. Connolley 13:14:47, 2005-09-05 (UTC).

Yukon Election[edit]

I am so glad that there is a place where I can find regular polls. I enjoy looking at seat projections and so it is good that you are at wikipdia too. Please feel free to look at my own page where I have set up my own predictions for the election. If you think there is something I missed in them, leave a message and will consider and change them. I hope to make the process similar to the election prediction site. MS123 22:06, 9 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Trendlines[edit]

The article Trendlines has been listed on Wikipedia articles for deletion.--Pomegranite | talk 06:01, 25 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Warning sign
This media may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:CanadaFedAug18-50826.png. I notice the 'image' page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is therefore unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the media on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then you should also specify where you found it, i.e., in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then you can use {{GFDL-self}} to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media qualifies as fair use, please read fair use, and then use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other media, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Image copyright problem with Image:Trendlines.png[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Trendlines.png. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading Image:CanadaFedAug18-50826.png. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. MER-C 10:32, 12 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Underlying Decline Rate Observed[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Underlying Decline Rate Observed, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

Neologism, very few uses of this phrase.

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. ... discospinster talk 01:20, 7 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

AfD nomination of Underlying Decline Rate Observed[edit]

I have nominated Underlying Decline Rate Observed, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Underlying Decline Rate Observed. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message. ... discospinster talk 22:18, 7 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

You've been mentioned at WP:COIN[edit]

Speedy deletion of Freddy Hutter[edit]

A tag has been placed on Freddy Hutter, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam as well as Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. —Largo Plazo (talk) 19:14, 27 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Conflict of interest[edit]

If you have a close connection to some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article Freddy Hutter, you may have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, edits where there is a conflict of interest, or where such a conflict might reasonably be inferred from the tone of the edit and the proximity of the editor to the subject, are strongly discouraged. If you have a conflict of interest, you should avoid or exercise great caution when:

  1. editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with;
  2. participating in deletion discussions about articles related to your organization or its competitors;
  3. linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam); and,
  4. avoid breaching relevant policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. For more details about what, exactly, constitutes a conflict of interest, please see our conflict of interest guidelines. Thank you. —Largo Plazo (talk) 19:16, 27 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

You should wait for others to write an article about subjects in which you are personally involved. This applies to articles about you, your achievements, your band, your business, your publications, your website, your relatives, and any other possible conflict of interest.

Creating an article about yourself is strongly discouraged. If you create such an article, it might be listed on articles for deletion. Deletion is not certain, but many feel strongly that you should not start articles about yourself. This is because independent creation encourages independent validation of both significance and verifiability. All edits to articles must conform to Wikipedia:No original research, Wikipedia:Neutral point of view, and Wikipedia:Verifiability.

If you are not "notable" under Wikipedia guidelines, creating an article about yourself may violate the policy that Wikipedia is not a personal webspace provider and would thus qualify for speedy deletion. If your achievements, etc., are verifiable and genuinely notable, and thus suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later. (See Wikipedia:Wikipedians with articles.) Thank you. —Largo Plazo (talk) 20:27, 27 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of Freddy Hutter[edit]

A tag has been placed on Freddy Hutter requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.

March 2009[edit]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Oil depletion. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Please do not repeatedly revert edits, but use the talk page to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. If necessary, pursue dispute resolution. NJGW (talk) 06:39, 31 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Disruptive editing at Oil depletion[edit]

See WP:COIN#Fredhutter again. Your edits at Oil depletion suggest that you consider promoting your own business interests to be more important than the goals of the encyclopedia. File source problem with File:TrendlinesCanadaRidingProjectionGraph51106.gif[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:TrendlinesCanadaRidingProjectionGraph51106.gif. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of that website's terms of use of its content. However, if the copyright holder is a party unaffiliated from the website's publisher, that copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider verifying that you have specified sources for those files as well. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged per Wikipedia's criteria for speedy deletion, F4. If the image is copyrighted and non-free, the image will be deleted 48 hours after 12:33, 28 August 2010 (UTC) per speedy deletion criterion F7. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 12:33, 28 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, This image was seemingly uploaded prior to current image polices, Thank you.

However, as part of ongoing efforts to ensure all media on English Wikipedia is correctly licensed and attributed it would be appreciated if you were able to confirm, that it was your own work, by marking it as {{own}}, amending the {{information}} added by a third party, and by changing the license to an appropriate "self" variant. This will assist those reviewing the many many "free" images on commons that have not yet been transfered to Commons. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 12:59, 3 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
