If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Dinura Balasooriya requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), web content or organised event, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. I am writing in response to your request, on my talk page, that this article be restored. I regret to say that in my opinion this person does not qualify, given the facts within the deleted article, for a Wikipedia page. I understand that this may be disappointing to you; if you feel that there is significant additional detail not present in the article which you could add, then if you notify me I could in that case post a copy of the article on your talk page for you to improve and resubmit. Or alternatively you have the option of posting a request for a community decision at the deletion review page. My personal opinion, which you do not have to accept, is that an appeal to the community about the article as posted is not likely to succeed.--Anthony Bradbury"talk" 18:47, 6 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@Anthony Bradbury: Thank you for taking time to reply. I understand your point. I haven't got much details about him but we know that he had involved with the drafting process of the Nineteenth Amendment to the Constitution of Sri Lanka. That's why I needed that page to be created even with lesser details. I think if we can let it be there for some time, somebody might help with it later on. Freedombelieverlk (talk) 20:25, 6 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

No, sorry, that is not the way Wikipedia works. An article, when submitted, must be good enough to survive immediately. If you can improve the article on the basis of your comment her then my earlier offer remains open. --Anthony Bradbury"talk" 20:29, 6 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I appreciate your advise. Please post a copy here. I'll try to improve it if I could find some more information. Thank you. Freedombelieverlk (talk) 11:07, 7 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
