I apologize for the speedy deletion, as I changed my mind about that. Your pov edits to Shelby and Apex made me jump the gun a bit [1], [2]. However, I suggest you read the guideline on why a Biography of a Living Person shouldn't be created based on one event. It does not appear that Jones is a notable subject on his own. He only received coverage in the context of the event. I suggest rewriting the article about the event, as it does appear to have received significant coverage.

Also, your photo appears to be a clear copyright violation. It is the properly of WRAL news. I removed it.

Thank you. --CutOffTies (talk) 00:34, 21 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Okay, I'll attempt to rewrite this article to reflect more on the event, rather than Jones. Agree?--Freemount9373 (talk) 00:37, 21 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Sure, thanks. You can use the wp:move function to rename it, I can help you if I'm around, or you can just use the help described in the welcome msg above. If you're looking for more sources, google news archive has a lot: link. I would try to use the ones that aren't local. --CutOffTies (talk) 00:40, 21 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Sure thing, and thanks for your input and suggestions, I'll begin working on changing the article around to a POV more on the event, rather than solely on Charles L. Jones. --Freemount9373 (talk) 00:44, 21 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I'm thinking of an appropriate Wikipedia title for the event, any suggestions on this? I'm currently thinking "North Carolina Highway Patrol Dog Scandal", or "North Carolina Highway Patrol Scandal", I'm more incline to the first, how say you? Thanks. --Freemount9373 (talk) 00:57, 21 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

This title is a bit tricky. I certainly prefer the first one, though you may consider changing it to canine.. a bit more formal, and since it's associated more with police ("canine unit"). --CutOffTies (talk) 01:09, 21 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed. If there's no objection, I'd like to change the title to "North Carolina Highway Patrol Canine Scandal".

Also, bear with me as I begin rewriting the article to reflect the event, with less emphasis on Jones --Freemount9373 (talk) 01:14, 21 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Just an update, I am unable to get the title changed at the moment. If you'd like, feel free to go ahead and change it, otherwise, I will attempt to change the title a little later, but I make sure to have it changed to focus on the event.--Freemount9373 (talk) 01:42, 21 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Freemount9373, I have changed the title for you. Cheers --ClassyMissy (talk) 04:36, 22 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks! --Freemount9373 (talk) 07:22, 22 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
