Advice regarding genre edits to Nicki Minaj[edit]

Frownsy, your edits to Nicki Minaj have been reverted nine times in the past few weeks over unsupported genre changes. At this point it is becoming disruptive and you should make a better effort to fulfill other editors' requests for sources. Even if the information you are adding is true, you need to provide proof, especially when there is a dispute over its inclusion.

Most recently, you claimed that the prior consensus had been reached regarding genre in the Nicki Minaj talk page archives, but I can find no such discussion in the archives. Before you edit the article again, I suggest you open a new discussion on the article talk page and establish consensus on your genre inclusion; link to the prior discussion regarding genre, and provide links to reliable sources for the genre you wish to add. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.
