Managing a conflict of interest[edit]

Information icon Hello, Fukayna. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page Southern hip hop, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

The book chapter cited, "Gangstas and Playas in the Dirty South," was some of the earliest academic research on the topic of the dirty South rap movement and is not "advertising," but part of the ecology of research in the field. Fukayna (talk) 03:26, 29 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

October 2023[edit]

Hello, I'm LizardJr8. An edit you recently made to Master P seemed to be a test and has been removed. If you want more practice editing, the sandbox is the best place to do so. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. LizardJr8 (talk) 03:18, 29 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

No, this wasn't an error. The book chapter cited incorporates discussion of Master P and has heretofore not been included on this page. The same is true of the addition I made to the entry on Southern Hip Hop. Fukayna (talk) 03:22, 29 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
