You reverted my revert of vandalism, thereby putting the vandalism back in. I'm changing it back now. RichAromas 18:37, 18 February 2007 (UTC)

Hey this is Ownz u and I am loving wikipedia. Just a suggestion, watch out for Fatwhales. This dude is crazy. He deletes pages and replaces it with vandalism. The guy is a jerk. He has already tried to destroy Wisconsin twice.

Curry Leaves

Sure, I probably shouldn't have been so abrupt. I think curry leaves are more appropriate as a disambiguation page. Curry leaves themselves actually have very little to do with what our concept of curry is in the first place. You see, what curry actually IS is a really complicated topic. In South Asia, where curry is supposed to have come from, we don't actualy call it curry. There's one very specific North Indian/Pakistani dish called curry, and that's all I know of. To add curry leaves into it further complicates things. It should simply be a disambiguation, and not be a part of the page. 165.82.96.115 20:58, 23 February 2007 (UTC)

Assessment from an article page

Thank you for helping out with the Biography assessment drive. Good news. Outriggr recently designed a script that will cut youf biography assessment time down by about ten fold (what took ten hours now may only take one hour with Outriggr's script). For more information, please see the 'assessment from article page' discussion. -- Jreferee 20:11, 3 March 2007 (UTC)

You helped choose Atmosphere as this week's WP:ACID winner

Claas Jaguar

Mate Thanks for the heads up, I added a bit more to the article Claas Jaguar I hope its enough to fix the prob, I look forward to your feedback. Cheers Beaver 12:52, 13 March 2007 (UTC)

Thanks. The photo and extra info has improved the article. I was wondering if you could find out extra information and you will have to remove the {{prod}} template to avoid deletion. GDon4t0 (talk to me...) 18:07, 13 March 2007 (UTC)
I think the article is now much better so have removed the deletion tag and retagged as appropriate. GDon4t0 (talk to me...) 18:14, 13 March 2007 (UTC)

You're very welcome. Glad I could help in reverting that vandalism! Will (aka Wimt) 16:24, 17 March 2007 (UTC)

Excuse Me!

Excuse me? Did I read that correctly? Well if you must know, I war merging the article and it clearly states (if you have read about how to) that the page must be "blanked" and redirected. Please do a little research as to why someone might do that next time, before blatantly accusing someone of wrongdoing. Zazzer 00:33, 18 March 2007 (UTC)

You have my apologies but an edit summary would have been useful. It did seem odd that you had blanked a page; I thought aybe an account hi-jack or something. GDon4t0 (talk to me...) 00:35, 18 March 2007 (UTC)
Thank you. I accept your apologies. I waas quiet sure that I had put an edit summary... Oh well I shall check next time. Zazzer 00:39, 18 March 2007 (UTC)

Speedy delete?

Did you mean to tag User:Xox-emily-xox with a "speedy delete" tag? It's a user page, not in the main article space, so different rules apply (even though it's not the most sensible use of a user page I've seen...). (I've done this myself by mistake in the past, and was picked up on it, so I understand how the mistake can happen!) Best wishes, Bencherlite 16:50, 18 March 2007 (UTC)

Sorry not concentrating! Off to take a wikibreak, I think. Thanks for removing the tag. GDon4t0 (talk to me...) 16:52, 18 March 2007 (UTC)
Not me, it was somebody else. No problem. Time for me to have a break too. Perhaps see you on patrol later. Bencherlite 16:53, 18 March 2007 (UTC)

Your AIV report

Hey, just letting you know I've just warned the user for his edits, and as I said at AIV, his names at WP:RFCN, I'll keep an eye on his edits and warn where appropriate. To tell you the truth, that was the second time the user was added to AIV! Anyway, hope you understand, cheers Ryanpostlethwaite contribs/talk 22:25, 21 March 2007 (UTC)

Thanks a lot for the note. To be honest, I was more concerned with the name than the vandalism. I just thought that the fact that the user was not contributing positvely should be made clear in any decision that was going to be made. GDon4t0 (talk to me...) 17:27, 22 March 2007 (UTC)

Last push for the Biography Assessment Drive

We've done great work so far on the WikiProject Biography Spring 2007 Assessment Drive, reducing the 135,345 backlog by 38,626 to 96,719 as of March 20, 2007. We have only 6,720 more to go to get below 90,000. That would be outstanding and any extra effort that you can offer in these last few days of the drive (which ends March 24, 2007) would be much appreciated. If you haven't already, you may want to load Outriggr's assessment script in your monobook.js. If you have any questions, please feel free to post them on my talk page. -- Jreferee 23:15, 21 March 2007 (UTC)

How About Instead Of Just Reverting...

You answer my question!

The page is tainted, it won't show the tour dates or reference sections! It's taaaaaaiinted!Hoponpop69 20:38, 22 March 2007 (UTC)

I was reverting the unnecessary profanity from the page. I have no opinion on the topic. However the edit in question is considered vandalism. GDon4t0 (talk to me...) 20:41, 22 March 2007 (UTC)

I'm not talking about the topic, I'm saying there is technical errors with the page. If you click edit this page you will see there is two more sections to the page, but they don't show up for some reason. Please help!Hoponpop69 22:46, 22 March 2007 (UTC)

That seems rather strange. I will ask someone about it as this seems unusual to me too. GDon4t0 (talk to me...) 13:40, 23 March 2007 (UTC)

Username is provocative and borderline inflamatory...

Excuse me, would you be so kind as to provide some proof for this crazy claim? Go raibh maith agat.--Play Brian Moore 20:35, 1 April 2007 (UTC)

Lets say that an Irish person was looking through an edit history for an article and saw this name- they might think that your choice of name had an intention to offend them or their beliefs and thus put them off the encyclopedia. You have to remember how your username may appear to others. I will reword my comment to better reflect this, if you like. G Donato (talk to me...) 20:43, 1 April 2007 (UTC)
oh and thanks for the thanks, it is not often I get that with a complaint. G Donato (talk to me...) 20:45, 1 April 2007 (UTC)
I understand what you are saying but it just doesn't happen. I have been here for 2 years and I have never had my work changed because of my name. Therefore, your argument is only a theory and has no real use in actually wiki editing. The debate that is taking place really is silly. If this point had been raised when I first joined then maybe I could see your point but bringing it up two years later is a tad late my friend. Like I said, show me some negative comments about my name, then maybe I could understand what you really mean. And of course I would always assume good faith. Having never dealt with you before, I was always like to be mannerly. The fact that I have never dealt with you before made me question where you would make such a mad claim as the one you made about me. I'm sure you had your reasons though. Is mise --Play Brian Moore 20:54, 1 April 2007 (UTC)
As I have no direct knowledge of this subject I have had to watch other's arguments and use internet resources for information on this subject- therefore I have no personal issue your username does not offend me. However, I have had to think about how it may be percieved by other contributors and that is why I reached the conclusion of disallow. Also, I was not the one who brought up your name, just one of many commenting on it. Remember that decisions to disallow on RFCN are only blocking names not people - perhaps you could change to name which would not need a RFC in the first place. G Donato (talk to me...) 21:01, 1 April 2007 (UTC)
I would change my name if a) it was actually offensive or b) I had been blocked within my first week of editing here. Asking and blocking me 2 years later is just too late to be taken as a serious complaint against my name rather my person.--Play Brian Moore 21:14, 1 April 2007 (UTC)
In response, I did not say that your name was offensive to me just that it had a potential to offend others. There are other cases where usernames have slipped through the RFCN net for months or longer. In fact, User:Moderator blatantly implies an official position, was created in 2005 and still is not blocked. Not all disputable usernames are spotted upon their creation. G Donato (talk to me...) 21:19, 1 April 2007 (UTC)
But if nothing has come of my controversial username after 2 years, could one not simply get over it. Why cause such a silly quarrel over this 2 years after is inception? (I know you didn't bring up this debate, that is more a question directed at anyone who voted disallow). Cheers.--Play Brian Moore 21:28, 1 April 2007 (UTC)
As you have just stated above, I did not start the debate and I can not close it either. I also will not change my vote as it is against a "personal policy" of mine to change a vote based on the arguments of the person subject to the RFC. I only change in the rare occasion that important new evidence comes up. G Donato (talk to me...) 21:32, 1 April 2007 (UTC)
I never asked you to change anything. The only reason I even commented here was to qusetion a point you made. Cheers--Play Brian Moore 21:37, 1 April 2007 (UTC)
I know you didn't I was being pre-emptive as this is often the route dicussion take from this point. Thanks. G Donato (talk to me...) 21:39, 1 April 2007 (UTC)

I know - he'll obviously contest it - but I just needed to make sure that reporting to AIV was the right thing. Cheers. ...adam... (talkcontributions) 15:13, 7 April 2007 (UTC)
Thanks for your note. I think WP:AIV was a reasonable step, just to call some attention to the problem. See also: WP:TALK#Editing_comments. I think it's a grey area about removing all of the warnings- usually I will encourage someone not to do it and just to edit constructively, but who knows if that ever works. On an unrelated note, keep in mind at WP:AIV that a user has to vandalize AFTER your final warning- one of the last IP addresses you posted there did not actually vandalize after your final warning, based on the timestamps. Please be careful about that; if you look at the AIV edit history you'll see where I removed your warning. Best, Kaisershatner 15:32, 7 April 2007 (UTC)
Yes, got it. The thing is, your final warning seemed to have worked (haven't checked back yet though), so the block wasn't needed at that time. Keep up the good work, Kaisershatner 15:41, 7 April 2007 (UTC)
