Managing a conflict of interest[edit]

Hello, GFGCCD. Thank you for the above pointers, it is greatly appreciated.

Can you kindly guide me in how i can go about updating the page whilst adhering to wiki's regulations?

Moreover, i am a digital communications officer at Gulf Air Group Holding, the holding company that gulf air belongs to. We are the Communications department responsible of all gulfair's communications, therefore, we've updated the page according to the latest company profile we have regarding Gulf Air.

If any of what has been posted on the page goes against Wiki's regulations, please do point them out to rectify them and fix the issue.

Frankly, you should not be editing that page. I've reverted the entire article to the state it was before your edits. If there's something that must be updated, you should ask for the edit to be made on the article's Talk page.

Gulf Air has no say in what is on their article, however, as this is an encyclopedia, not your company's website. It should not be used for any promotional purposes at all, and should be written entirely from a neutral point of view. miranda ^:3 07:05, 18 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for the above clarification, it is clear now.

I ultimately thought that we are free to edit the page as we wished and that it would be checked for language/inaccurate information. However, the purpose of wikipedia has been clear now and the misuse of the platform won't happen again.

Moreover, in the case where we'd like to have some information updated on the page, should i proceed with proposing the changes on the talk page? or is there any other way of going on about it?
