Your pictures for the film speed and aperture articles[edit]

Hi. I see that you have added some GIF animations to the film speed and aperture articles. While I like the idea, I think, the pictures need further improvement to be acceptable. The ISO picture should not show the company name because the effect described is generic and there is no reason to show a company name here. The pictures of the opening aperture should be improved in the following ways: The lens should not move and the illumination/exposure not change between the shots. The second picture is mostly unsharp, anyway. I don't know what happened to the DOF picture, but this picture clearly does not show the effect of DOF, but is digitally processed - please have a look at, for example, the background, which becomes grainier as the aperture opens. All: Change the speed of the animation. As they are, the animation is way too fast for my taste. The "flickering" causes a significant amount of "stress" when reading the aperture article. Thanks. --Matthiaspaul (talk) 08:52, 3 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I've reverted your animation of a laughing man from the laughter article - per image usage policy, "inline animations should be used sparingly", and the animated graphic doesn't increase the reader's understanding any more than the existing static images do. --McGeddon (talk) 09:37, 3 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Spamming photos of yourself[edit]

Please stop spamming photos of yourself all over Wikipedia. At the very least, suggest a few of them on the individual article talk pages. OhNoitsJamie Talk 14:46, 3 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
