Your user page

Hi there. I'm Serge, an Admin here on the English Wikipedia. I don't believe we've interacted much, or at all, in the past. I couldn't help but notice Your User Page. I am sorry if your experience at Wikipedia has not been good. (And let me know if there's anything I can help you with too.) But, as you can probably imagine, that pretty clearly infringes on Wikipedia's policy against personal attacks. Can you remove it for me? I would appreciate it. Let me know. Thanks. Sergecross73 msg me 16:53, 2 August 2013 (UTC)

I removed the terrible message as you requested it, Sergecross73. However, I still don't like the experience that I got on Wikipedia and personally don't recommend it to anyone who wants to be a journalist. Peace out. GVnayR (talk) 03:09, 6 August 2013 (UTC)

Thank you. Let me know if I can help you with something, should you come out of retirement. Sergecross73 msg me 14:43, 6 August 2013 (UTC)

Weather information

OK, I'm a bit confused by your recent edits to race articles with almanac information about that day's weather. First, the information you provide is taken from a source not at the circuit, usually at a nearby airport or just from the city that the circuit technically resides in, even if it is not within the city limits. Second, your information only addresses two things: the highest temperature and the highest wind gust speed. OK, but when did these two events occur? If the race is at 7pm at night, such as the Coke Zero 400, it's almost certainly unlikely that the highest temperature of the day was recorded during the actual race. Further, the wind gusts can occur at any time, so again, how is this relevant to the race if it did not occur during the race? This seems to be reaching into WP:SYNTH, taking weather information from a city and applying it as factual for an event that only took up a portion of the day. Do you see where I'm going here? Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited 1963 Western North Carolina 500, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Stewart McKinney (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
