Draft notes

[edit]

Hi! Your additions to the article looked good - my only notes were that the additions needed additional sourcing since there were some things that were unsourced and that you need to be careful of tone. Some of this was written in a fairly praising tone, which makes the section read slightly non-neutral. While what Hamer did was frankly amazing - especially when you consider the attitudes back then, however the article still needs to be neutral. I did some cleanup but it will still need a little work. Good work overall, though! If you are interested in writing about Black people in history, I know that this is a topic area that is really undercovered on Wikipedia - especially when you consider the lack of articles for post-Bellum Black politicians.
