Content reverted[edit]

Hi! I noticed that your content at intersectionality was reverted by Pengortm, with the summary edit "all about discrimination, but not clearly linked back in meaningful ways to intersectionality and appears to dependent on primary sources".

I wanted to add to this a little and say that the language was a little confusing. It was very flowery and beautiful, but it also read like it was intended for an audience who is fairly familiar with the subject at hand. This means that it would be harder for someone new to the subject area to tell exactly what's being discussed and to connect all of the dots, which leads to it not really being clearly linked back to intersectionality. For primary sources, they may have meant that some of the sources were studies, which would make them primary sources for the conclusions and research that was conducted by the authors. Basically, a study paper is essentially "I did this and this is what I found/experienced/think/believe". It doesn't mean that the study is wrong, but the same thing would need to have been covered by someone else and/or repeated to make sure that the same results are produced, as interpretations of work someone has done can sometimes be fairly subjective - especially if they're going into it with a possible bias or preconceived idea of what they want to prove.

I hope this helps! Shalor (Wiki Ed) (talk) 15:10, 8 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
