CBB and edit summaries

I've removed your re-addition of the US presidents wikiproject from the Bulletin Board, because it was already listed there for over a week, which is the standard amount for all new pages seeking contributors (imagine how large the CBB would be if everyone re-added their own wikiprojects time after time!) :)

I also wanted to recommend that you start using Edit summaries. It makes it easier for other editors to tell what went on from a history page, and is good etiquette. There is a new option in special:preferences (under "editing") to "Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary", which i find very useful.

Thanks. -Quiddity 19:04, 21 May 2006 (UTC)

FDR

G-E-B, I've made a lot of changes to the FDR page to try to get it to FA stage; I think the biggest remaining issues are length and in-line citations/footnotes. At least one object has been changed to a weak support and one weak support to a full support, so it's progress. Thanks for making the nomination, and if you can edit for length or add citations at all, I think that would help. Sam 23:47, 22 May 2006 (UTC)

I need help!

How do you make a image (length)800px and (width)200px?-DictatorWikipedia should be a totalitarian state with me in command!GangstaEB---Gangsta-Easter-Bunny 13:16, 26 May 2006 (UTC)

You can't force the height of an image (it would distort), you can only specify the width.
About the signature thing you asked me, you would subst. the template (but I think you have figured it out). Eg {subst:GEB/sig} instead of {GEB/sig}.--Commander Keane 13:23, 26 May 2006 (UTC)

Hello, Gangsta-Easter-Bunny, thank you for signing up to participate in Esperanza's trading spaces program. As you requested to renovate another user's page, you will be renovating Actown's userpage. Please contact Actown on their talk page about the renovating. The renovating will be listed at Wikipedia:Esperanza/Programs#Undergoing_Renovation, please feel free to update the status as it changes. Enjoy!

Hey you going to renoviate my page? --Actown e 18:11, 26 May 2006 (UTC)

Lots of renovating!

Your enthusiasm for doing lots of renovating at Trading Spaces is awesome! I know you said three or four, but exactly how many pages would you like to be assigned? Just so I can update it all such. Thanks! -- Natalya 19:06, 26 May 2006 (UTC)

Tone's RfA thanks

Dear GangstaEB/Archive 2 — Thank you for your support on my recent RfA. It succeeded with a final tally of 46/2/3 so now I am an administrator. I'll be taking things slowly at first and getting used to the new tools, but please let me know if there's any anything I can help you with in the future. And please correct me, if you spot I make a mistake. Thank you again. --Tone 00:02, 27 May 2006 (UTC))

Icons at RfA

Hi. I noticed that you've started using icons with your votes on RfA. Briefly, I'd like to ask that you not do that. It's been discussed before, and the consensus is that icons at RfA aren't helpful and can cause harm and inconvenience; there's a quick summary at Wikipedia_talk:Requests_for_adminship#Voting_icons. Cheers! TenOfAllTrades(talk) 17:15, 27 May 2006 (UTC)

Signature

Hello there, I just dropped by to see if I could alert you to something; you don't have to do it and please don't feel pressured, but try to consider it. Anyway, could you think about changing your signature? I know that a lot of people enjoy their signature customised, but the colors on yours can become disruptive on long pages. If you could just shorten it a bit and change the colors to something better, that would be awesome. Again, you don't have to, but editors often take you more seriously if your signature doesn't look like it is screaming for attention. Thanks, Master of Puppets That's hot. 18:04, 27 May 2006 (UTC)

Re: Trading Spaces

Hey, and sorry for the delay, but I've been out for the weekend. I don't really have any particular theme in mind for my user page, just something with color, and probably a little bit more than just links (that is, have some of the info that's on there now). You can choose what to put and what not to put on my page, it's all up to you. The information that I've put in the userboxes is probably what describes me best, but if you need to ask anything, just let me know. Also, whatever you decide to keep on there, I think I would like some notification that I'm part of Esperanza and the 1.0 editorial team. Thanks, and let me know if you need anything else, Chuck(척뉴넘) 05:55, 28 May 2006 (UTC)

War wikia in spanish

I didn't know what a war wikia was, but I think it is neither the moment nor the place to ask for it, I beelive it is better to suggest a new wiki in spanish in the spanish wikipedia. If you want to learn some more spanish that is the best place to do it: start reading articles and look in a dictionary (not web translator if possible) a translation, then start editing. A short Esperanzial update

As you may have gathered, discussions have been raging for about a week on the Esperanza talk page as to the future direction of Esperanza. Some of these are still ongoing and warrant more input (such as the idea to scrap the members list altogether). However, some decisions have been made and the charter has hence been amended. See what happened. Basically, the whole leadership has had a reshuffle, so please review the new, improved charter.

As a result, we are electing 4 people this month. They will replace JoanneB and Pschemp and form a new tranche A, serving until December. Elections will begin on 2006-07-02 and last until 2006-07-09. If you wish to run for a Council position, add your name to the list before 2006-07-02. For more details, see Wikipedia:Esperanza/June 2006 elections.

How do I get contents to not pop up? GEB-test 21:52, 26 June 2006 (UTC)

Do you mean to not have a "table of contents" on a page? To do that, write __NOTOC__ . --GeorgeMoney (talk) (Help Me Improve!) 22:24, 26 June 2006 (UTC)

I got yahoo geocities, but I got a better package so I can have my own domain name. --GeorgeMoney (talk) (Help Me Improve!) 00:48, 27 June 2006 (UTC)

Portal

Thanks for supporting the proposal to create a portal for U.S. government (and politics?) topics. The proposal passed, and I copied my draft over the the portal namespace. It's at Portal:Government of the United States. If you would like to help keep the portal updated, feel free to stop by the portal talk page or just go in and make any improvements or changes you see fit. In its current state, the portal is just a starting point. --Aude (talk contribs) 02:54, 27 June 2006 (UTC)

Good luck

Hello. I am just posting to say good luck to you in the upcoming Esperanza elections, and I shall enjoy campaigning against you - you are a worthy opponent, as it were! All the best, and may the best man/woman/thing win! Kingfisherswift 16:52, 27 June 2006 (UTC)
