Welcome[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia! I saw your post on the COI Noticeboard, and I've added a {{connected contributor}} template to the Talk:SonarQube page with your username. It's probably a good idea to add the Template:UserboxCOI to your user page.

For some reason I can't reach http://sonarqube.com/ (likely network weirdness on my side), so I hesitate to change it on the article page. If someone else doesn't update it from your post at the noticeboard, you can put a {{request edit}} template on the talk page; the instructions are here. Once you've done that, it will show up on the requested edits page. Please be patient; there's a backlog.

Thank you for being open about your connection. You're welcome to contribute in other areas - this place is huge, and there's always something to do. BlackcurrantTea (talk) 08:07, 7 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I saw your post at COI re http vs https, but still can't reach the site. Traceroute from my own computer as well as nmonitoring.com and network-tools.com gets stuck at Amazon, and ping ends with 100% packet loss. Maybe it's not just me.
I'm watching this page, so you can reply here. To indent a paragraph, add a : at the beginning, adding one more for each nested reply level. If you want to get a particular editor's attention here or elsewhere, you can use {{Template:Ping}} or {{Template:U}}. Be sure to sign all your posts with four tildes ~~~~. Sorry for the delay in responding. ICMP is blocked on most of our web sides by the Ops group, including on sonarqube.com, which is why you can't get there that way. You should be able to double-check it in a browser though, right? (Cannot figure out the syntax to ping. Glad you're watching this page.) Ganncamp (talk) 17:07, 9 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
No worries about being slow to answer; my schedule's unpredictable. The instructions for ping are here, basically just {{ping|username}} (Wikipedia code uses loads of curly brackets and pipes). I prefer Template:U {{U|username}} because it omits the @ (this isn't Twitter), but ping's easier to remember.
I went ahead and changed the live instance link and the screenshot. Let me know if it's ok or needs fine-tuning - I'm not used to working with image files here. BlackcurrantTea (talk) 00:54, 10 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks so much BlackcurrantTea! These two changes look great! Could you just also change the caption on the screenshot to "SonarQube project homepage" or "SonarQube project landing page" or "SonarQube project front page"? (Giving options only to remove any hint that I'm trying to slip in marketing-ese. The first is my preference.) Ganncamp (talk) 15:20, 10 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
You're welcome! Your suggestions don't sound promotional. However someone unfamiliar with SonarQube might well take SonarQube itself to be the project, so I changed it to "A SonarQube project homepage" for clarity. BlackcurrantTea (talk) 23:53, 10 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
