User talk:Gbm60
Dear Materialscientist I hope you can help me.
I have been trying to create an article on William Pile of Sunderland who was a foremost shipbuilder on the river Wear, Sunderland up to his death in 1873.
This is my first article and I started it under the title User:Gbm60/William Pile of Sunderland.
I believed this to be a page unseen on the WWW.
I wanted to give the article a name that would better describe Mr. Pile and wanted to change it to William Pile Shipbuilder. I did not know of the move function and so created a page William Pile Shipbuilder and copied and pasted User:Gbm60/William Pile of Sunderland directly into the new page. I am now informed that it has quite correctly been deleted.
I am trying now to rectify my error and place the information on a page William Pile Shipbuilder.
I attempted to use the move function from my original article but I recieved the warning on my discusion page saying the page has previously been deleted and to contact you to which I am attempting.
I have also a warning that a picture I uploaded is about to be deleted. I have searched the Wikipedia help but am getting confused with how exactly to accredit the photo to myself. I have attempted to contact a mentor to correct this. The picture is one that I took personally at the Winter Gardens in Sunderland and I am happy for anyone to use it as they will. - I have modified the copyright tag in the picture of W. Pile that should solve the problem. The article was written in a non-encyclopedic style, with numerous citations, most of which had to be converted into the prose. I renamed it into William Pile (shipbuilder) and quickly (and clumsily) brushed up the text. More work is needed to rewrite and add content and references, preferably accessible on the Internet. File copyright problem with File:WilliamPileBust.jpg
[edit]Thank you for uploading File:WilliamPileBust.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. ww2censor (talk) 18:51, 30 January 2010 (UTC)
