Helpme

[edit]

Hello, you used the {{helpme}} tag. How may I help you? When you've asked your question, please put the tag back so we know to check back. Alternatively, you can join the Wikipedia Bootcamp IRC channel to get real-time help. (Use the web-based client to get instant access.) - Tangotango 14:07, 3 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, okay :) No worries. Happy editing, Tangotango 14:23, 3 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Borderline

[edit]

I'd be more than happy to help you with your borderline research. I personally have experience with the disorder plus I've done an extensive (obsessive?) amount of research into it, plus met some of the top researchers in the field. Let me know if you have any (specific or non-specific) questions! Good luck! --Loudsox 00:35, 4 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Wow! That's cool. I'd love to talk to the researchers; if I have any questions I'll send you a line. Thanks for your offer, Loudsox! -- Geelin 13:12, 4 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Me too. Cas Liber 03:20, 5 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks Cas! - Geelin 06:09, 5 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Cas, do you know of any BPD specialists who I can speak to in Australia? If so, where can I track them down? Loudsox, who are the people in the US of A that I can email? Cheers -- Geelin 13:26, 5 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I sent you an e-mail through Wikipedia. Let me know if you don't get it. -- Loudsox 23:05, 9 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Yep, I got it today. Thanks very much for those leads; I'll chase them up. Cheers! Geelin 06:56, 10 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I had another thought about a BPD/Avoidant character. In practice, you see some people with more dissociative/posttraumatic type symptoms and others with more anger/black-white thinking and more turbluent relationships. A good thing to think about is internalizing (blaming self) vs externalizing (blaming others). Someone who is a hermit may be more likely to be internalizing and withdrawn, chronically dysthymic..Anyway, good luck Cas Liber 00:52, 25 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Yes! I know exactly what you mean. My character is turning his anger on himself, but he also resents other (albeit to a lesser degree than the hatred he has for himself). Thanks for the tip. Geelin 11:39, 28 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Geelin. Saw your comment on famous people with BPD on the Borderline personality disorder talk page, section Talk:Borderline_personality_disorder#Famous_people_with_BPD. See my recent comments. I think it might be useful to have it back in, in some fashion. Any further thoughts ? Bests. --- (Bob) Wikiklrsc 17:32, 28 August 2006 (UTC) (User talk:Wikiklrsc)[reply]

NPOV needed!

[edit]

Ta bu shi da yu, I would consider putting an NPOV on the article on Dependent personality disorder. It's a pretty second-rate piece of writing. - Geelin 14:25, 5 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Geelin (even though you are standing right next to me, wierd, huh?) if you'd like you can add it yourself, but you'll need to give reasons why it isn't neutral. You can do that by adding the text {{npov}} to the top of the article. Then place your objections on the talk page. If the piece is badly written, you might want to have a look at Wikipedia:Cleanup to see what the process is, and then add what seems to be the issue to the talk page.
To send me a message, in the search box on the left side of the screen, type in User: followed by my username, then click on Go. This will take you to my talk page. Then click on the "Discussion" tab. To add a new message, click on the "+" tab, and type in a short title, and the message itself followed with your signature ~~~~. - Ta bu shi da yu 10:17, 6 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Admin help

[edit]

Hi Geelin, if you see someone making trollish or insensitive comments, or they are removing others comments from a talk page, the best place to go is the Wikipedia admin noticeboard. There are a lot of very responsible and nice admins on this page who will be happy to assist - they can block, protect or do something to stop the vandal or troll in their tracks! - Ta bu shi da yu 14:48, 13 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
