Welcome!

[edit]

Hello, Gene6, and welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate encyclopedic contributions, but some of your recent contributions, such as your edit to the page Laser harp, seem to be advertising or for promotional purposes add spam links. Wikipedia does not allow advertising. For more information on this, please see:

If you still have questions, there is a new contributors' help page, or you can click here to ask a question on your talk page. You may also find the following pages useful for a general introduction to Wikipedia:

Hello voidxor, can you tell me much about wich advertising I've made please?
Gene6 (talk) 23:08, 6 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, I used the "spam" welcome message and I now see that most of that doesn't apply to you. I was really referring to some spam-like links that you re-added to the article, not advertising.

In 2017, Anachronist removed a paragraph as "refspam", but didn't provide any policy links. You restored it, claiming that it is not refspam. When I saw it today, I came to the same conclusion as Anachronist. Refspam is a spam link masquerading as a reference. The takeaway here is that the reference links were going to the homepages of the people and groups being mentioned, instead of supporting the claims themselves. – voidxor 00:52, 7 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Ok no problem :)
But the lasts edits done these days seems to clearly promote some shows ^ ^
Especially the first picture. Gene6 (talk) 04:56, 7 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Exactly! That's why I started looking through the edit history. I made a couple edits, but there's certainly more room for improvement. If you see something else, feel free to tackle it. I'll watch the article for the next few days, so if you have any questions about best practices on Wikipedia you can start a new section on the talk page.

Again, a belated "welcome to Wikipedia". – voidxor 16:42, 7 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

No problem :) I will check. And I'm still in touch with the inventor. Gene6 (talk) 17:09, 7 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
