ArbCom for Omura[edit]

I have requested Arbitration because of your continued bad faith and unwillingness to keep to consensus mediated agreements and avoid actual discussion of points raised.Richardmalter 04:59, 13 December 2006 (UTC) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Requests_for_arbitration#Current_requests[reply]

Thanks for the advisement. GenghizRat 05:07, 13 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Formatting for Arb Evidence Sourced from an Archive[edit]

It isn't necessary to provide evidence in a diff form in arbitration however diffs are the most effective way of providing evidence as they lead directly to the point you want to illustrate and are quite permanent (a wikilink on the other hand may become redundant if the topic is archived). Evidence may be provided in a number of ways. For example, if you want to link a topic called "Block enforcement requested" from the 152nd ANI archive, you can :

  • Use the URL as a link [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Administrators%27_noticeboard/IncidentArchive152#Block_enforcement_requested] which will appear as [1].
  • You can also give a name to the link: [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Administrators%27_noticeboard/IncidentArchive152#Block_enforcement_requested Block enforcement required] which displays as Block enforcement required
  • If the evidence is stable (i.e in an archive that is not likely to be moved) you can wikilink it: Wikipedia:Administrators'_noticeboard/IncidentArchive152#Block_enforcement_requested Block enforcement required
  • If you want to illustrate a particular edit by a user you can use a diff. For example the diff form of initial "Block enforcement requested" post by Demiurge is [http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Wikipedia:Administrators%27_noticeboard/Incidents&diff=prev&oldid=92535241 Post by Demiurge] and will appear like this : Post by Demiurge

Evidence for arbitration is welcome in any form. If you are still unsure about how exactly to post your evidence, point me to the archive where the evidence is situated and I will help you compile your evidence and present it in a proper format. Feel free to ask any further questions that you may have regarding the arbitration process. --Srikeit 12:32, 20 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I appreciate the information, Srikeit. Thanks. GenghizRat 19:12, 20 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

This arbitration case has closed and the decision is available at the link above. Richardmalter and all other accounts and anonymous IPs with the same disruptive editing pattern are indefinitely banned from editing Yoshiaki Omura or its talk page. They may be blocked for up to one year if they do so. Blocks, and any alternative accounts or IPs used, should be logged at Wikipedia:Requests for arbitration/Yoshiaki Omura#Log of blocks and bans. Care should be taken with anonymous IPs to avoid blocking addresses used by other users. The remedies in this matter apply to any article concerning the Bi-Digital O-Ring Test (BDORT or PMRT) under any title. For the Arbitration Committee, Newyorkbrad 23:29, 2 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
