User:Mrzubrow

[edit]

I suspect that you might be familiar with the User:Mrzubrow from school (the M. Zubrow in our grade) or at least know who he is. This user has made an article about his father, Barry Zubrow, which presents a Conflict of Interest. Normally, I wouldn't ask for your help, but User:Mrzubrow has been sockpuppeting as User:Ferraridriver303 to try to circumvent the COI issue. Could you please go to Wikipedia:Deletion_review/Log/2007_March_4#Barry_L._Zubrow and post under Atungare's and my posts saying that you know that Barry Zubrow is User:Mrzubrow's father. It would help my case immensly to have as many people who know Mrzubrow see and say that Ferraridriver303 is a sockpuppet of Zubrow. Proving a sockpuppet needs a lot of evidence. Thanks. Orphaned fair use image (Image:BBUS2Logo.jpg)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:BBUS2Logo.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 21:16, 11 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Station infoboxes

[edit]

I've explained my reversions and offered to make the bullets show up automatically on Wikipedia talk:WikiProject New York City Public Transportation#Bullets in infoboxes?. --NE2 01:36, 12 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, I like the new infoboxes used on the Metro-North stations. Keep it up, Geoking66. ---- DanTD 04:10, 5 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I did a few of these myself, but not as many as you. The ones on the Harlem Line stop after Croton Falls (Metro-North station), but I suppose you'll get to them during the week. As for the Hudson Line, which pic do you want to use for Marble Hill (Metro-North station), and Spuyten Duyvil (Metro-North station)? ---- DanTD 04:20, 5 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Right now, I'm having some problems making them for Pascack Valley Metro North-New Jersey Transit stations. Every time I try to combine a Metro-North infobox with the NJT ones, the MNRR destinations get scrambled. In the meantime, I'm going to try to do them for other stations I don't have as much difficulty with. ---- DanTD 02:38, 10 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Kevin Covais IPA

[edit]

Re the IPA pronunciation of "Kevin Covais"—thanks for your corrections. Though I see my accent placement was wrong, the NLS-BPH says his name is pronounced "kō-VĀ-əs"; on the show, the last sound was voiced, like the "s" in "Marcus," not like the "s" in "matches." Shouldn't the "z" in the IPA be "s"? --zenohockey 03:16, 20 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your reply...just checking. --zenohockey 03:52, 20 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

"Hi. According to WP:BIGBRO, the housemate setup on Big Brother 8 (US) was correct. Why did you change it? Geoking66talk 05:02, 5 July 2007 (UTC)" I just added a chart to clean it up. It seems very busy the current layout on how you set it back. The one I created just cleans it up and your able to look at all houseguest info at once. I have a question and not trying to sound sarcastic, but just because you done want it in a chart means that its not going to be?? Big Brother 8 US duplicate article

[edit]

Someone just created an article Big Brother 8 (US/CBS), and copied from the original. He says it's different in that it's only going to have what has been broadcast on CBS. I've put a speedy delete tag on the article. But, he seems very persistant in saying that it is different. And adding links to it in other articles, including the original. Can you check it out? Thanks. - Jeeny Talk 02:25, 9 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Voting in Big Brother 8 USA

[edit]

I have been watching BB USA since the launch in 2000, and the first season is the only season where houseguests were up against the public vote. In Big Brother 8, America is voting for who they want Eric (America's Player) to vote for. The rest of the houseguests will vote for who they think should be evicted. I would hardly call this 'against the public vote' since America is voting solely for who Eric should evict. I have all the episodes this season on my DVR and I watched tonights episode again to get my facts straight and yep I am right, America is only voting for who Eric should vote to evict. Eric's vote counts as 1 vote against which ever houseguest America choses and that is it. Aside from Eric I can safely say that a minimum of seven housgests can vote this week (I am unsure if Dick, Dustin, and Jessica can vote since they are exempt from being nominated this week.) But houseguests are the only people who choses who is sent home not America. And where did you get that this week the houseguests are "against public vote"? Thank you for the barnstar, even though it was not an actual barnstar. LMAO! ;) I really do appreciate the acknowledgment, no matter if I get a star or not. :) I don't know why I thought you were from Boston before. Hmmmm. Another thing you may want to know, is that it was not Jackster89 who accused you of vandalism, it was RyanLupin, but I let him know it was a mistake, and he took the warning off your page. He said he realized it was a mistake too. Just so you know, Jackster89 may not know what you are talking about, with the message you left on his page. :) Cheers! Thanks again. :) - Jeeny Talk 01:06, 16 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hey there

[edit]

Please see my comment to you on the Talk:Big Brother 8 (US) page re: "Do not remove sources!". Thanks. - Jeeny Talk 04:51, 27 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You're welcome, and Thank You! I'm anal. lol. Since you pointed me to the BB project page, I noticed they say not to use day numbers, like "Day 21", but to put the date, either in it's place or just included it with the day #. I'm so confused on the dates, as you know they were actually in the house before Day 1. So, does that mean that the rest of the days reflect that? ---meaning-- are they counting the days the HGs have actually been in the house? It's kinda driving me crazy, like I said I'm anal. I can't figure out the dates, except of course the obvious ones, like the show dates. What do you think? Now, it was you who kept pointing me to that project for the guidelines, so it's all your fault. :p lol. I'm trying to stick to them, but also keeping the US article fresh, because mostly the project deals with the UK versions, and it's a bit different, if not a lot different in some areas. Thanks again. - Jeeny Talk 03:15, 28 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Hey, it does and it doesn't help. I just saw something while editing, and one of the refs stated something like Day 11 July, 24 (a Canada ref), or something like that, I don't know exactly the day or date, but it didn't match the dates I added. Especially the eviction dates!! Ugh! Sooooooooo, I guess I'll remove the dates altogether, so as not to confuse me, and others. How's that? - Jeeny Talk 04:32, 28 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
PS: With the exception of the America's Player table, as that is easy to date because people only have that day to vote. - Jeeny Talk 04:35, 28 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I went ahead and deleted the dates I added to the chronology table, and left the day numbers. But left the day and date in the America's Player table. - Jeeny Talk 04:47, 28 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Please help

[edit]

User Melanie2408 is deleting the HG's information during the show --again. And again... I've warned her, but I'm the only one who has. She's saying I don't own the article, and she will continue to delete it because there are links at the bottom of the article to the CBS website where people can go to read about that stuff. She refuses to cooperate by reading or discussing the talk page. UGH!! Please help. It's the only article she edits! <sigh> - Jeeny Talk 04:02, 29 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

She deleted your message. I've reverted it though. I have to watch myself because I'm getting angry and want to be uncivil. <sigh> I give up. - Jeeny Talk 04:12, 29 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

no, it's not the only article i edit/have edited.

i simply don't want to discuss on the talk page, i'm not being forced to am i? this is so childish, i said nobody owns the article, yes i singled jeeny out but then i said nobody owns it. i'm not deleting all the information, and yes, i did read the message geoking66 left me, but where does it say that that MUST be in the houseguest's summary? it's not a rule, it's just your opinion. -talk

Giving up

[edit]

Hell, I know it's frustrating, but we can't give up completely. Just take a little breather. Like you said to me, it all works out in the end. Please be careful of your language (like name calling), so you don't get in trouble. I KNOW how hard that is. Like I said before, I have to watch myself too, I wanted to call people names, swear at them and ban them if I had the power. lol. I'm am so frustrated that people cannot understand the collaborative effort. What bothers me most are those who refuse to discuss the article's disagreements on its talk page, or learn about how Wikipedia works. Grrrr! Heck, even when I first started on the article you contacted me with a little lecture. I didn't get upset, mad -- it did make me think more, so I investigated the links you gave me. While I don't agree with everything with the project, I sure try to work with others much more than I fight with them. That is if they are reasonable. And where the hell is T? :) Hang in there! Thanks for ALL your hard work, it is appreciated! F... those idiots. ;p - Jeeny Talk 18:40, 29 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Geoking66 is a hypocrite

[edit]

I recently wrote on the discussion section of the Big Brother 8 (US) (highlights) article, where you reprimanded me for swearing, even though I replaced it with asteriks. Yet in the archives for the discussion of Big Brother 8 (US) you talked about the page's vandalism "p****** you off". Why were you so hypocritical of my actions? Did you think I would not find your slip up? You can see what I mean in "Archive 1" on the discussion for Big Brother 8 (US)

Here is the comment in question:

OK, I'm going to be frank, the continued vandalism on this page is p****** me off. 75.46.81.83 should be blocked. Do not add names without sources! Geoking66talk 04:29, 3 July 2007 (UTC)

I also noticed that the comment directly above, from Jeeny (who i've noticed is also a major contributor in trying to eliminate the vandalism on the page) has done similar to what you and I have done, but usung periods in instead. I am confused as to why I am being reprimanded for actions that have been done by two "big wigs" on the Big Brother discussion pages.

99.243.247.227 05:25, 14 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Don't use asteriks then

[edit]

If it was not vulgar there was no reason to replace it with asteriks. But Jeeny still did exactly what I did. You and I may both be hypocrites then because I also did it, but you can't say you weren't wrong or that you had a right to tell me not to be vulgar (which, technically I was not). 99.243.247.227 06:38, 14 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:BBUS2Logo.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:BBUS2Logo.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. — Moe ε 20:35, 16 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

User:Wikisteph888

[edit]

FYI -- this user may be a problem account. I say "may be" because I don't want to make general accusations just yet. Although I found some troubling information about the user who attempted for admin-ship and created a false "committed identity" on his/her user page. Also, I checked out the edit history of the Hell's Kitchen, and there is no such user name editing that article. There were many anonymous users who posted that Bonnie was the winner. I think it is nice that you put up a memorial for a user you admire, and I don't believe the intentions of user:wikisteph888 were in good faith. I looked at Jeeny's edit history and there is no evidence of this. It seemed she made good faith attempts at that page. Though it could have been a misunderstanding of sorts, because there were many edits back and forth on who was the winner of that show. This user was editing under an IP, but so was I before I created an account. I'm just getting used to the "ropes" around Wikipedia and hope to be a good editor myself one day. I've brought this user to the attention of some administrators, but they are giving the user some "slack" for now to allow them the opportunity to become a good editor. I agree that is fair though, but have my doubts now, after reading the post on your memorial. I am sorry that a user with an agenda may have ruined your memorial. Good luck and best wishes. Biomet 23:17, 17 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'm back

[edit]

I really appreciate your memorial. Although I am a bit embarrassed by the attention. I'm not one who seeks, nor needs it. But I do appreciate your motive very much. Thank you. I have a fight I will not give up. If I do, they win, and take over neutrality and POV. I will not be at BB right away. I just can't stand what I'm seeing since I've left. I was weak, and they are reveling. I don't give a rat's ass if I get blocked either. I'm pissed, and I'm going to not let them beat me down. Thank you Dear Geoking. - Jeeny Talk 00:48, 18 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
