Hello, I'm Jim1138. An edit you recently made to John Entwistle seemed to be a test and has been removed. If you want more practice editing, the sandbox is the best place to do so. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Jim1138 (talk) 23:48, 21 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Save all three with "Save page at the same time, or I may not see the notice. If you are not sure, just do the Yo and sign with four tildes "~~~~" (leave out the nowiki stuff). This is called a wp:ping. Remember to sign your talk (but not edits to articles with four tildes).

Georgestarrlover (talk) 20:35, 22 October 2016 (UTC)== John Entwistle == You made some formatting errors with your edit that you can see with this edit diff (explanation: wp:diff) There is a big QM at the top which shouldn't be there. A "solo singer" out in never-never land - every entry in an wp:infobox needs to be associated with a parameter such as "|image= " and then the optional data, in this case "John Entwistle-1.jpg". If there is no valid parameter specified, nothing will be displayed except maybe some error message. See wp:template and template:Infobox musical artist[reply]

Everything on Wikipedia should be wp:verifiable (WP:V) i.e. people want to vet information and find out more information on a topic. Verifiability is the only way Wikipedia has credibility. It's edited by anyone and everyone, so that the only way someone knows if info is correct. My job with the recent change patrol is partially to ensure WP:V. See help:referencing for beginners and help:footnotes. If you have any questions, please ask at the wp:teahouse as I may not be here. Cheers Jim1138 (talk) 00:16, 22 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

QM{{EngvarB|date=March 2016}} The "QM" was added by you and showed up as extraneous characters and shouldn't be there.
{{Infobox musical artist
| background = p[; This "p[;" is also extranous.
solo_singer This has not attachment to a parameter in the infobox musical artist template. It won't show up and would confuse any future editors
Wikipedia needs to be wp:verifiable - You need to wp:cite a wp:reliable source (RS) for information.
A source for his mother was named Queenie and not Maud?
A source that states that he died in Las Vegas, Nevada and not Paradise, Nevada? BTW: Link directly to the article: Las Vegas and not Las Vegas, Nevada.
Oops - got sidetracked. Just saw I hadn't save this. Hope this helps. Jim1138 (talk) 09:08, 22 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Copied message from my talk page here
Okay, well I have a few sources. You know that documentary An Ox's Tale by his friend, Steve Loungo? Well, his mom is in it. And her name is Queenie. And I believe in Pete's autobio. "Who I Am" he mentions that John's mother's name was Queenie. I don't exactly remember what sources for John's death place are, but I certainly know he infact died in Las Vegas. Also, some of the info on the songs were wrong. "Doctor Doctor" was not on "The Who Sell Out", it was on "A Quick One". "I've Been Away" was on "A Quick One" too, and you left that out. My sources? Check any cd, cassette, or record, and you'll see in the track listing which songs are on where. In Godfrey Townshend's blog, he explains that he had the job of waking john up in the morning, because John could not hear the sound of an alarm clock. In your bit about john's deafness, I thought that was a neat thing to add. My sources for John's nickname Enty, is all over any social mediea sigt. Such as Tumblr and Wattpad, all the kids on there call Enty, "Enty"(I am one of those kids). For my source of the nickname the Prince of Darkness, Steve Loungo talks about it in his blog. There's a neat little story about it, so I thought I could include that on the section I wanted to add for his nicknames. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Georgestarrlover (talkcontribs) 12:49, 22 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
George, I really need for you to keep this conversation on your page and in order. I have way too many irons in the fire to keep conversations straight in my head. See "Replying" section above.
Here is possible a source for "Queenie" and death in Las Vegas: https://www.thewho.com/john-entwistle/
http://www.godfreytownsendmusic.com/entwistle.htm
Good references shouldn't be too hard to find. Better if they are written then videos.
I just googled "john entwistle queenie" Cheers Jim1138 (talk) 18:10, 22 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Is this what you mean? Thanks for the sources, but if you have those sources, why is the information still inaccurate?
Please leave your message for me here. I am a volunteer and don't want to edit that category of article. I primarily do wp:RCP. I'll leave the article up to you. If I teach you, then I would hope, you would fix more stuff!
Below is how you should leave messages for me (or another person) on a talk page other than my own. Edit this page, emove the <nowiki> stuff. and save the "yo", message, and signature with one Save changes or it may not work.
