License tagging for Image:View From West Window First Floor.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:View From West Window First Floor.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 09:09, 2 May 2007 (UTC)

Don't forget to licence your images! The guidance should clarify things, let me know if you've a problem with it. .. dave souza, talk 12:59, 2 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks still getting used to the scripts, and I made a mess of first attaching the tags for licence, I have added them now Gfours 14:42, 4 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Castle Kennedy[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia and thank you for your contributions. An article you recently created, Castle Kennedy, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's guidelines for new articles, so it will shortly be removed (if it hasn't been already). Please use the sandbox for any tests you may want to do and please read our introduction page to learn more about contributing. Thank you. -FisherQueen (Talk) 12:02, 2 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Firstly, if you've a question about a red link, ask about it on the talk page of the article which has the link rather than creating a new article which is just a question. Secondly, Castle Kennedy seems to be both a place and a (ruined?) castle with associated gardens. Googling for "Castle Kennedy" scotland brought up many links, including [1], [2], [3], [4], and [5]. Feel free to start a new page which could describe both citing these links as sources, or if you think separate pages would be better distinguish them with appropriate names such as Castle Kennedy and Castle Kennedy (village).. Have fun, .. dave souza, talk 12:59, 2 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
No problem, thanks Edward Waverley 14:14, 4 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Images[edit]

Hi Gfours, thanks for uploading images for Dunstaffnage Castle. I put the pictures into a gallery - look at the page source to see how its done. If you are uploading several pictures, please do so at Wikimedia Commons, which is designed as an image repository, rather than direct to Wikipedia. See Category:Castles in Scotland at Commons. You should make it clearer also that you were the photographer, and not just uploading someone else's pics, see Wikipedia:Image copyright tags.

We seem to be following each other around: I just uploaded pictures of Craigend Castle, here, and I have pics of Dunstaffnage to add too! Thanks, Edward Waverley 13:32, 8 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Most of mine where taken earlier this year, I went on a little tour, Liverpool - Dunfermline - Pitlochry - Inverness - Fort Augustas - Fort William (taking in Ben Nevis) - Oban - Glasgow - Dunure (<- I have pics and a right up to do for Dunure Castle) - Glasgow (yes again) - Edinburgh - Livingston - Stranraer - Portpatrick - Dumfries - Liverpool. So i got to look at quite a few castles hahaha.

I will look into picture gallerys, thanks or advice. Gfours 13:58, 8 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Historic Houses in Scotland[edit]

I wondered if you and any of the 'Scottish team' were aware that a "discussion" had taken place regarding this title and the decision taken to rename it "Houses in Scotland". Personally I find such a decision beyond comprehension. I would like to see this appealed.? Regards, David Lauder 21:12, 25 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
