If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Life Is Beautiful Gift Baskets, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. Way2veers 20:37, 10 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

June 2013[edit]

Please do not use Wikipedia to promote businesses, such as you did in the article Life Is Beautiful Gift Baskets. Wikipedia is not the Yellow pages. If you want to list a company for potential customers to find, please consider alternative outlets. Thank you. Way2veers 20:38, 10 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Life Is Beautiful Gift Baskets[edit]

I have two pieces of advice for you when it comes to writing an article on a company like the one you wrote.

1) Be sure that the article doesn't sound like an advertisement. You don't want it to sound like something that came out of a company brochure. Articles have to be neutral in tone and talk about their content in an encyclopedic matter. Basically, you want the article to read like something you'd read in an encyclopedia. You should read Wikipedia:NOTPROMOTION for more information.
2) When you write your article, you want to source it with secondary, reliable sources such as news articles from reliable publications. This allows readers to verify the information stated in the article. It also shows that the subject is notable enough for an article.

Hope that helps! Lugia2453 (talk) 20:50, 10 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Your contributions[edit]

Hi GinaLoriaBacon! Thank you for your contributions. The article Life Is Beautiful Gift Baskets may not meet Wikipedia's notability guideline for organizations and companies. Please help to establish notability by adding reliable, secondary sources about the topic. Consider using Wikipedia Reference Search (WRS) to search for reliable sources. WRS only returns results from websites that are considered "reliable" by Wikipedia policies. For further help, see Wikipedia:Questions, type {{helpme}} at the bottom of this page, or ask at my talk page. I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Trying again?[edit]

You'll need to read WP:SPAM, WP:CORP (about company notability), WP:RS (about the reliable independent sources needed to prove the notability), WP:NPOV (about neutral point of view - wording it like an encyclopaedia article not an advert), and WP:COI (conflict of interest - editing about subjects very close to you). To be honest, I can't see the business passing CORP. Not every company does. In fact, the vast majority don't. Good luck with the baskets, anyway. Peridon (talk) 21:21, 10 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, I was Trying again.[edit]

Thanks. I thought I was allowed to re-write the article to make it comply with Wiki Standards...Thanks for your valuable thoughts and feedback, Kind regards, Gina.

Put it at User:GinaLoriaBacon/DRAFT first. References come first - without them, there's no point. Then write around them, sticking to NPOV and avoiding SPAM. Then, if the patrollers haven't got it (they can only tag it for spam, attack, copyright violation or hoax in user space), ask for advice on whether it works or not. Not just me, you can ask anyone. Some get grumpy - try another if that happens. Peridon (talk) 21:36, 10 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I appreciate it, Thanks!--GinaLoriaBacon (talk) 21:38, 10 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Cool! Thanks!GinaLoriaBacon (talk) 21:37, 10 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Err, you've got a bit to learn here... You've just thanked an automated bot. Most -bot accounts are bots. Apart from User:I, Jethrobot who gets away with it somehow, the ending bot is reserved for little javascript and so on thingies that run round the place tidying up, archiving, signing for newcomers, and occasionally going berserk and having to be suppressed quickly. Doesn't often happen, as they get tested thoroughly before they're allowed out by themselves. Peridon (talk) 21:46, 10 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Ohhhh!!! I think I understand...thanks.--GinaLoriaBacon (talk) 21:52, 10 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
