Welcome!

[edit]

Hello, Ginny Monroe, and welcome to Wikipedia! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of the pages you created, such as Lady Elle Finn, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's guidelines, and may not be retained.

There's a page about creating articles you may want to read called Your first article. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the Teahouse, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{help me}} on this page, followed by your question, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Questions or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome! Donner60 (talk) 21:33, 30 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of "Lady Elle Finn"

[edit]

Lady Elle Finn, a page you created, has been tagged for deletion, as it meets one or more of the criteria for speedy deletion; specifically, it is obvious advertising or promotional material..

You are welcome to contribute content that complies with our content policies and any applicable inclusion guidelines. However, please do not simply re-create the page with the same content. You may also wish to read our introduction to editing and guide to writing your first article.

Thank you. Donner60 (talk) 21:33, 30 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Conflict of interest

[edit]

You stated in the deleted article that you are the CEO of the company whose founder you wrote about. From Wikipedia's point of view, that gives you a WP:Conflict of interest and you should carefully read that page and the Wikipedia:Plain and simple conflict of interest guide. Please understand that Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, not a social-networking site for people to write about themselves and their own concerns. JohnCD (talk) 22:06, 30 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
