Welcome!

[edit]

Hello, Gisselolzba, and welcome to Wikipedia! My name is Ian and I work with Wiki Education; I help support students who are editing as part of a class assignment.

I hope you enjoy editing here. If you haven't already done so, please check out the student training library, which introduces you to editing and Wikipedia's core principles. You may also want to check out the Teahouse, a community of Wikipedia editors dedicated to helping new users. Below are some resources to help you get started editing.

ENG 465 Check-In

[edit]

Hi Gissel,

This is Sam, the TA from ENG 465! Prof. Hanley asked me to help get in touch with everyone this weekend to make sure the Wiki assignments are moving along smoothly.

Topic approval is ultimately up to Prof. Hanley, but I definitely think yours should be perfectly fine. The Female Man seems well within the scope of our course and as a "C-class, Mid-importance" article, it's in a sweet spot for editing, for sure.

Your bibliography looks excellent and it seems like you know exactly what you should be looking for and how you'll be using your sources. Another student in our class posted her work-in-progress bibliography to her article's Talk Page and got some feedback from an experienced Wikipedia editor right away; just an idea, if you think that might be helpful for you too! Looking forward to seeing your draft come together in the sandbox! :)

I think you have everything under control, but if you do want any assistance at all from me, feel free to reply to me here! I have email notifications on. Or just message me on Zoom during class! Would be happy to help any way I can, as needed. --Sjnickerson (talk) 01:11, 7 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Gissel,
Just letting you know I provided Prof. H's "greenlight" that he wanted everyone to have on your article draft's Talk Page. Let me know if I can help with anything! --Sjnickerson (talk) 21:43, 20 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
