Capay Organics[edit]

Capay Organics is the primary grower and originator of the Farm Fresh To You CSA. I redlinked the farm name in the article, as I am not sure if the content of this article which, of necessity, includes information about the farm, is sufficient or if a separate article about the farm operation is warranted. And, if so, would the content regarding the CSA be a part of that article, instead of the farm being a part of this article? Geoff | Who, me? 18:10, 9 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Review invitations[edit]

@DGG, K.e.coffman, Gab4gab, Boleyn, and NukeThePukes: I've been working on a draft to restore the deleted article, Farm Fresh To You, which I had userfied when it was deleted in August, 2016. Since each of you commented in favor of its deletion, please take a look at the current state of the userspace draft. I'm interested in your opinions and suggestions for further improvement and on its state of readiness for restoration to article space. Thanks! Geoff | Who, me? 19:45, 6 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

borderline notable at best. ref 2 is apparently a mention; refs 4 & 9 are local papers; refs 5 & 6 are self-published sources, ref 3 a self-published book; refs 7 11 just official listings; ref. 8 & 13 just a notice. ref 10 just the name among many others in a table ; The only actual ref sufficient substantial and independent enough to show notability is ref 1 = 12
Not suitable for an article at present: Much too personal about the family. Mentions too many names. Tries to get notability from general association with famous figures & movements; 'Inspired by" isn't sourced--we can't make such judgements without an exact source for them. 'Helped to start" is vague. DGG ( talk ) 03:24, 8 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, DGG. Appreciate the input. Geoff | Who, me? 16:38, 8 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Coming in late to the party, but however much I appreciate CSAs (ironically, sitting beside me right now are the bags of food I JUST now picked up from my weekly share!), it would be an astonishingly unusual CSA to have garnered the press attention necessary to pass the GNG. This one doesn't. Nha Trang Allons! 19:21, 29 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I'm thinking that the farm itself, rather than the CSA, should be the main subject of an article, with perhaps a passing mention of the CSA. Working on a draft along those lines. Thanks for the input. Geoff | Who, me? 16:34, 1 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
