Information icon Hello, I'm XYZtSpace. I noticed that you made one or more changes to an article, Australian Country Party (2004), but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Information icon Please do not add or change content, as you did at Australian Country Party (2004), without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Jim1138 (talk) 06:40, 5 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I note that the information I updated on the Australian Country Party (2004) page was directly drawn from the Australian Country party Website.
The party has completely changed its direction and focus to a National organisation and the current information does not reflect the Party at all Now.
Yes I am associated with the Party and happy to note conflict but need to ensure that the page correctly reflects who and what the party is now, including our new logo.
I am happy to cite the different sections of the Party website as the information is drawn from there and is the most current information.
The revert you have done has returned the page to the content that is clearly not relevant to the current Party.
Please advise how I can quickly overcome this situation as we have 2 by-election campaigns starting tomorrow with associated candidates.
I also not that I added the New England By-election and the Longman by-elections with cites which were also reverted.

I can certainly understand your frustration. Content added to Wikipedia should follow wp:policy guidelines. I left a note at the bottom on how to cite sources and about other issues. You can ask questions at the wp:teahouse and get good advice. See help:talk pages. Please sign your talk (on talk pages) with four tildes: "~~~~"

Welcome!

Please do not add promotional content to Wikipedia

[edit]

Example: The Australian Country Party is committed to growing an alliance of Independent MP’s and Candidates at Federal, State and Territory and Local Council levels, who are committed to representing the people of their electorate first and offer strong policies before politics. is promotional. See wp:NOTPROMOTIONAL. It is also not encyclopedic. Please use an encyclopedic wp:tone. It is also unsourced as well. Per Wikipedia's policy of wp:verifiability, any significant content needs to wp:cite a wp:reliable source. See help:footnotes. Given your use of "We" in the article, I presume you are associated with the Australian Country Party? If so, you need to disclose association per wp:conflict of interest. Thank you Jim1138 (talk) 06:48, 5 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Non-free rationale for File:Australian Country Party Logo (June 2018).png

[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Australian Country Party Logo (June 2018).png. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F6 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. ShakespeareFan00 (talk) 16:09, 5 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Conflict of interest

[edit]
You've been told countless times to quit it with the conflict-of-interest edits. If you propose your talk page edits on the talk page, it is likely any good edits will make it into the article. If you're burying any uncontroversial edits in a pile of puffery rubbish by trying to revert half the article to spin yourselves, they're going to get reverted by any number of people. I note your comments above and further, I have provided a detailed outline on the Australian Country Party (2004) Page update requirements on the Page talk.

Here is the complete post I put on the Page talk to try to get someone to fix the page.

Required updates to ensure Wiki Page Reflects the truth of who the Australian Country Party is from December 2018

[edit]

Below are reverted edits that I believe should be reintroduced based on the factual information included and cited. I have provided the coded text, including cites to make the job easier for whoever takes on the fixing of our Page to bring it up to date and reflect who we are in 2019.

I note that I have a conflict of Interest as the New Federal Chairman of the Party and so I require someone to review and confirm the facts being presented, so they can be updated on the page.

Please note the additions to the Cate Speaks reference placed by one of your editors. There are notes there after I communicated directly with Cate.

1. Ideology - Grassroots Democracy, Australian Nationalism, Economic Nationalism

We do not believe that our patriotic positions are actually - Australian Nationalism and Economic Nationalism, but a broad patriotic position that is embraced by the majority of Australians of all nationality backgrounds and definitely not right wing.

We are definitely not social conservative.

| ideology = Grassroots democracy
Australian nationalism
Economic nationalism[1][2][3]

2. Political Position - Broad-Center

| position = broad-center[4][2][5]

3. Opening Paragraph

We are not a Victorian only Based Party and further, we are not "dedicated solely to the interests of regional communities", and was created to provide an alternative to the National Party in country Victoria. That Statement is historic and the Parties National Focus Commenced mid-2018.

The Suggested opening statements for the page are:

The Australian Country Party (ACP) is a Federaly Registered political party[6], headquartered and also registered in the Australian state of Victoria.[7] It has previously been named the Country Alliance and the Australian Country Alliance.

The party is focused on grassroots national issues, describing itself as a "Truly Democratic, Grass Roots Political Party for Australia", and provides an alternative to the Australian Labor Party, Liberal Party of Australia and National Party of Australia as a voice for all Australians.[8]

The Australian Country Party has commenced its national expansion with the application for registration in the Northern Territory.[9]

In closing, I believe there should be some reflection to the complete change of Ideology, Positioning and direction the Party has embarked on in line with the Party Media Release widely distributed on January 15. A link to the media release is here - [10]

Thank you to whoever fixes our Page.

Regards, Glenn O'Rourke
