Hi GlobalSurfari - please don't add the links like http://www.surfrider.org/ and http://www.5percentblue.com to articles that aren't directly about those organizations/campaigns. External links on Wikipedia are supposed to provide further encyclopedic information about the subject of the article, not related projects. Hi again. Thanks for leaving the message on my talk page. I missed the http://www.betruetoblue.com link when I looked at that page - as another editor has mentioned, it isn't appropriate either. As an encyclopedia we try to produce neutral articles. The articles we have on organizations are not supposed to be presentation pieces for those organizations (however noble their missions), so it's unlikely a link that simply goes to a program they run will be appropriate. We normally provide a link to an organization's official website, but we should not generally also be linking to nonprofit organizations' fundraising or awareness raising campaigns.

If the programs are particularly notable (by, for example, receiving significant national or international press coverage in mainstream press, or being awarded a highly respected prize, or perhaps being the subject of research by a well respected academic) and there is plenty to say about them they should get an article of their own. If not then a mention of them in the Surfrider Foundation article (without the external link) might be appropriate, especially if there is independent mention of them that can be used to show their impact and importance to the world.

If the links were appropriate the external links section would be the appropriate place for them. On Wikipedia the "See also" sections are for wikilinks to other Wikipedia articles that might be of interest to the reader, they shouldn't contain any external links. Hope that answers the questions.
