BLP violation?

Re [1]: I have no opinion on the UNDUE comment, since I have never before heard of Mr. Moon in any context, so I cannot evaluate how much or how little of his notability this covers. But why do you think it violates BLP? It seems to be reliably sourced (as far as celebrity gossip goes). --Stephan Schulz (talk) 16:13, 16 March 2015 (UTC)

I don't believe that "reliably sourced" is sufficient reason for including negative content about a living person. It needs to be a notable part of his personal life (such as the other text in the section about his marriage) to be included in his biography. But in this case, I think instead it is, as you say, just celebrity gossip. Gnome de plume (talk) 17:09, 16 March 2015 (UTC)
Well, I'm of a mixed mind in this case, since the LP in question actively seems to thrive on controversy, so the "presumption of privacy" goes out of the window. But per my "will anybody really care in 10 years?" rule, I'd not force the issue one way or the other. I am, however, somewhat concerned by an overuse WP:BLP, because that will over time water it down. --Stephan Schulz (talk) 17:18, 16 March 2015 (UTC)
