Welcome!

Hello, GoldFlower, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. Fair use rationale for Image:Abby Hayes1.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Abby Hayes1.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. Orphaned non-free media (Image:Abby Hayes1.jpg)[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Abby Hayes1.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. December 2007[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia! I am glad to see you are interested in discussing a topic. However, as a general rule, talk pages such as Talk:Miley Cyrus are for discussion related to improving the article, not general discussion about the topic. If you have specific questions about certain topics, consider visiting our reference desk and asking them there instead of on article talk pages. Thank you. NrDg 02:14, 30 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I was just seeing if that could be put in the article. I didn't know if it was gossip or not, I wasn't so sure whether I should put that in the article so sorry. --Alisyntalk 02:17, 30 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
The previous section in the discussion page is talking about this. Suggest you add to the discussion there. The question is if it is something to add to the article or not and whether some reliable place has written about it. --NrDg 02:23, 30 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  • I didn't think you were talking about that. Sorry, next time I'll check :) --Alisyntalk 02:25, 30 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
That's ok. I changed the title of the section to be more informative. --NrDg 02:29, 30 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions, including your edits to Rachael Ray. However, please be aware of Wikipedia's policy that biographical information about living persons must not be libelous. Any controversial statements about a living person added to an article, or any other Wikipedia page, must include proper sources. Thank you. -MBK004 04:06, 31 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I saw that too, but until there is a reliable source for the information, it is unencyclopedic and doesn't belong. Again, see WP:RS and Wikipedia:Verifiability. -MBK004 20:09, 31 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion[edit]

You Never Satisfy Me[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article You Never Satisfy Me, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. If you agree with the deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please add {{db-author}} to the top of You Never Satisfy Me. Using Welcome (and warning) templates properly.[edit]

Hi, I noticed on another user's page that you'd given them a welcome message. This is a great thing to do, but, most templates you put on a user's page should be added using template substitution. Substituting templates into the page means that the template tag will be replaced with the contents of the template once you save the page. This is a good idea for templates like the welcome template, because the message you leave behind won't get changed afterwards, and if the welcome template were to change with a lot of userpages linked to it, the server has to regenerate all those user pages (which is a LOT of work). To add a welcome template this way, you type {{subst:welcome}} ~~~~ instead of just {{welcome}} ~~~~. When you save the page, the template's message will be added. You should also use this method when warning a user for vandalism or other inappropriate conduct. Thanks! - Stephanie Daugherty (Triona) - Talk - Comment - 03:12, 20 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Revert Edit Mistake[edit]

I had attempted to fix my own mistake on the reversion. Forgive me if I caused any problem for you in the process. The reversion history confused me somewhat, I should have inspected more thoroughly.

  • Ha, ha.  :)) Wikipedia is a hard habit to break. I came back to prep some articles for parsing to Veropedia and here I go whacking kiddie-wiki vandals. Again. Oh, well. there are worse things. Thanks again for the welcome-home. Nice to be here and even nicer to be appreciated. --PMDrive1061 (talk) 01:14, 29 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I was wondering if you would come back to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/A Charlie Brown Kwanzaa and clarify your reason for wanting to keep the page. In particular, if you are arguing to keep it on the basis of it being connected to Charlie Brown, be aware that this is not a Charlie Brown release but is a rascist parody of the Charlie Brown Christmas special. Layout/Sig[edit]

Hey Alisyn :D. I don't want this to be a big deal. The reason he credited myself was because of alot of the improvements I did to the design, including navbox, icons, etc. He can credit both of us if you would prefer that. I don't want either of us to get mad at each other. It's just a layout. And the signature wasn't meant to look like anyone else's. I had seen alot of people using the tag in their sig, is that what you were talking about? Let's please act like adults.

Username block- 7DAYWEEKEND[edit]

The account was being used to spam mentions of the band of the same name. I did not hardblock, and so they can come back if they are going to contribute constructively, but the username is just another outlet through which they can spam. I have no doubt that that was their intention here, not constructive contribution. See this section of our policy- this is a textbook example. J Milburn (talk) 22:17, 15 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Replaceable fair use Image:Bessonova.jpg[edit]

Replaceable fair use
Replaceable fair use

Thanks for uploading Image:Bessonova.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the media description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per our non-free content policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? Kelly hi! 20:46, 14 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
