Please do not add content without citing reliable sources, as you did to Pink chaddi campaign. Before making potentially controversial edits, it is recommended that you discuss them first on the article's talk page. If you are familiar with Wikipedia:Citing sources please take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Gamesmaster G-9 (talk) 16:55, 27 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

State Bank of Travancore[edit]

Can you provide a citation for your statement about the dispute that led to the founder being expunged from the official history? I am not disputing your statement, it sounds completely plausible, but such statements should have supporting documentation. Regards, Acad Ronin (talk) 20:07, 7 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

To Acad Ronin: Any google search of Sir. C.P.Ramaswamy Iyer will tell you of his despotic and oppressive regime in Travancore. [1] [[2]] Goodhindu (talk) 07:55, 13 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Goodhindu, the article on State Bank of Travancore links to the article on C. P. Ramaswami Iyer, but there is nothing in that article that clarifies the situation. Whether he was despotic or not is irrelevant to the fact that he founded the bank's predecessor. His despotism may be relevant to his being expunged from the bank's official history, but for that you need a specific citation, not general statements about his character. I am not an expert on Travancore history and have no access to such specific citations. I would be delighted to see the inclusion of a sentence about his role being expunged included in the bank article, if that can be supported by citation. Hi there, I'd just like to echo what was said above, and point out that all edits which include new information ought to be cited in some way. I freely admit that I know little about the topic, but I should be able to verify for myself any information included in any article. Lankiveil (speak to me) 10:06, 14 September 2009 (UTC).[reply]
My earlier Edit -that the Bank was founded by Sir.CP Ramaswamy Iyer - also did not cite any reference. Yet, it is not seen objected to. I have no objection to the page's remaining a stub. Goodhindu (talk) 04:19, 15 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

External links[edit]

Hi there. Please take the time to peruse WP:EL. The series of links you have added are all external links which go against that guideline, and I had to revert them all. --Muhandes (talk) 23:46, 25 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
