Song lists

[edit]

I can see that you want to help out with articles about musicals. That's wonderful, but please, please stop adding little snippets and reprises to song lists in the articles. The WP:MUSICALS project has long agreed with the IBDB's approach to song lists, which is to list only the important numbers in the original Broadway productions. The list in a piano-vocal score includes lots of snippets and reprises that are not of encyclopedic interest. Also, please always use ndashes, not hyphens. Also, quotes should not go around regular English words like Finale. They should only go around song titles. However, we do not think the quotes are necessary in the song (musical numbers) lists, as it is not necessary to set them off from text as it is in a narrative paragraph. It is just make-work. The musical numbers lists, where they conform to the IBDB lists are fine. Can't you please turn to more useful tasks such as adding plot summaries to articles that do not have one yet? Or "Critical Reception" sections? Those are important. Thanks. -- Ssilvers (talk) 17:53, 25 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
