Ways to improve Ralph S. Greco[edit]

Hi, I'm Jbhunley. Grecors, thanks for creating Ralph S. Greco!

I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. Please consider returning to the article to address this issue.

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse. JbhTalk 02:48, 2 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on User:Grecors requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section U5 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to consist of writings, information, discussions, and/or activities not closely related to Wikipedia's goals. Please note that Wikipedia is not a free Web hosting service. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such pages may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. JbhTalk 03:50, 2 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Use of user space pages[edit]

I have tagged your user page for deletion because it is in violation of Wikipedia's rules for user pages. Wikipedia is not a social media site. Your talk page is intended for collaboration with other users while improving Wikipedia. Your user page can be used to give a brief description of who you are but it is not appropriate to post a resume or material which may be seen a promotional. Nor should your user space be used to host articles. Please see Wikipedia:User pages, WP:NOTSOCIALNETWORK and WP:FAKEARTICLE for our rules. Cheers. JbhTalk 03:51, 2 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

  • Also, based on your user name you seem to have created an article on yourself. Wikipedia strongly discourages creating or editing articles on yourself or where you have a conflict of interest. Please read WP:COI for the policies and guidelines relating to editing your own article. Best practice is that you limit yourself to suggestions and requests on the article's talk page and allow other editors to decide if and how to make the edit.

I will keep your page on my watchlist and you may contact me on the talk page or, preferably, my talk page. Welcome to Wikipedia and thank you for your contribution. JbhTalk 03:58, 2 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

  • Please see the note above. Wikipedia is not a place to post your resume. Please do not do so again. Also please familiarize yourself with Wikipedia's Conflict of interest guielines, again as noted above, best practice is not to edit an article about yourself and limit yourself to suggestions on the article talk page. Thank you. JbhTalk 01:30, 6 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

A note on your article[edit]

Wikipedia requires citations to reliable sources for all claims made in an article. This is particularly important for biographis of living people. Any material which can not be verified by a citation to a reliable source will likely be deleted. I know this may be frustrating but Wikipedia has this requirement to protect the subjects of articles. If you would care to propose sources on the article talk page and indicate what they support I would be glad to integrate them into the article. JbhTalk 02:00, 6 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I have moved your article back Draft:Ralph S. Greco so you can work on better sourcing and referencing. JbhTalk 00:01, 7 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
