Request to Cease Vandalism on the Water Positive (Concept) Page

[edit]

Hi Greentn2,

I noticed your recent edits on the Water Positive (concept) page.

Previously, this page was primarily a promotional platform for the Water Positive Think Tank (WPTT), filled with irrelevant information about the organization rather than focusing on the concept of being water positive. This can be substantiated by the use of non-pertinent names, links to associated pages, and the misuse of the term "water positive" as a guise for commercial content.

I have made changes to ensure the page is Wikipedia-worthy, accurately representing the contemporary concept of being water positive. I kindly request that you refrain from vandalizing this page again.

Please consider this a formal warning.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Techlang has been informed that 'good-faith' edits are not the same as vandalism, even if disputed. The next proper step is to seek consensus on the Talk page of Water positive. David notMD (talk) 15:15, 5 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you, David! Another point of importance is the threat, "please consider this a formal warning." I reached out instead of talking with Techlang because I that felt that his statements were inappropriate, and he engaged in actions that reflect a threating nature which is putting the page under vandalizing warning. The article is not semi-protected, which is often a step after repeated vandalism. Techlang already advised that good-faith edits should not be considered vandalism. A key point here - Water positive is about the concept. The Water Postive Think Tank may in your opinion be article-worthy, but it should not be inserted into Water positive. Lastly, even if you are not paid, your connection to WPTT is personal, which means you should declare a conflict of interest (WP:COI) on your User page. Thanks David for your comments! I do appreciate them! Greentn2 (talk) 03:04, 6 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for the valuable information. I will read it and comply with your suggestions! Please not that my interest in the Water Positive or the Water Positive Think Tank is as a volunteer without salary, payment or compensation. Greentn2 (talk) 23:45, 5 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
