Tips
  • Don't be afraid to edit! Just find something that can be improved and make it better. Other editors will help fix any mistakes you make.
  • It's normal to feel a little overwhelmed, but don't worry if you don't understand everything at first—it's fine to edit using common sense.
  • If an edit you make is reverted, you can discuss the issue at the article's talk page. Sign your messages with four tildes (~~~~), be civil, and don't restore the edit unless there is consensus.
  • When adding new content to an article, always include a citation to a reliable source.
  • If you wish to edit about a subject with which you are affiliated, read our conflict of interest guide and disclose your connection.
  • Have fun! Your presence in the Wikipedia community is welcome.

Signature

[edit]

Hi Gregwire, I noticed that on occasion you do not sign your comments. Please make sure to sign your comments by using four tildes at the end of any discussion on any talk page. You can sign by using the following: ~~~~. While we're on the topic of signatures, today I learned how to customize a signature. If you wish, I can send you instructions for customizing a signature, and even provide some examples! The signature customizing feature is great to help personalize what people see when you sign your username. If you want to see an example of a customized signature, see the following text: — Urban Versis 32KB(talk | contribs) 03:37, 30 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

hi UV I would like the 5th. Your are a professional mentor! Gregwire13 (talk) 02:05, 31 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Sure! To set a signature, go to Special:Preferences and scroll down to your "signature" section. Make sure the "Treat the above as WikiMarkup" is selected. Copy and paste the following into the text box: — [[User:Gregwire13|'''<span style="color:green">Greg</span><span style="color:darkred">''wire''</span>13''']] ([[User talk:Gregwire13|talk!]]) You're done! If you want to see your new signature in action after you've configured it, reply to this message. ALWAYS make sure that when you finish writing a message on a talk page, you sign it with four tildes: ~~~~. Thanks! — Urban Versis 32KB(talk | contribs) 02:16, 31 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

P.S. UPDATE: I created a few signatures as an example, such as — Gregwire13 (talk!). If you want to see the other signatures, please go to User:Urban_Versis_32/sandbox/signatures#Signatures_for_Gregwire13
