Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:The 79th Annual Academy Awards - Arrivals, Photograph by Cohen.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. This will be your only warning: Image:The 79th Annual Academy Awards - Arrivals, Photograph by Cohen.jpg has been deleted twice by myself, once by another administrator. The reasoning is because it is from www.imdb.com, and represents a copyright violation. Additionally, we do not generally allow copyrighted images of living individuals. Please do not re-upload the image. If you do, you will be blocked from editing. Thank you. --Jeffrey O. Gustafson - Shazaam! - <*> 09:39, 24 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Duplicate images uploaded[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Image-ITB.jpg. A machine-controlled robot account noticed that you also uploaded the same image under the name Image:ITB DVD.jpg. The copy called Image:ITB DVD.jpg has been marked for speedy deletion since it is redundant. If this sounds okay to you, there is no need for you to take any action.

This is an automated message- you have not upset or annoyed anyone, and you do not need to respond. In the future, you may save yourself some confusion if you supply a meaningful file name and refer to 'my contributions' to remind yourself exactly which name you chose (file names are case sensitive, including the extension) so that you won't lose track of your uploads. For tips on good file naming, see Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions about this notice, or feel that the deletion is inappropriate, please contact User:Staecker, who operates the robot account. Staeckerbot 17:45, 28 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (Image:LC British Poster.jpg)[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:LC British Poster.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 13:28, 9 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Image-ITB.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Image-ITB.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 22:49, 6 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Bing russell.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Bing russell.jpg. You've indicated that the image meets Wikipedia's criteria for non-free content, but there is no explanation of why it meets those criteria. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. If you have any questions, please post them at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions.

Thank you for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 13:46, 7 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Award[edit]

The Original Barnstar
I hereby award you this barnstar for your work on Todd Field, an article I created. Thanks for making the article better, and providing sources for those reviews. SchfiftyThree 22:58, 16 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Untitled Todd Field Project[edit]

Hello, on the Internet Movie Database, it shows under the Director section that Todd Field is directing two films in production stated to be released in 2009. Do you think we should include this information in the article? And if possible, can you find sources for this besides IMDB? SchfiftyThree 21:33, 5 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, the Todd Field version of Cormac McCarthy's Blood Meridian has been redirected to the main Blood Meridian page, as well as the disambiguation page (which after the film link was removed by me, there was only one listing). The article was nominated for deletion and was later redirected per WP:NFF. If you can, would you like to find any reliable/verifiable information that tells that the film has started filming? I'm sure that in 2009, when the film may be released, the article may be back to its original state with notable information regarding Wikipedia:Notability (films). Thanks! File source problem with File:25 Feb 2007 Oscars.jpg[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:25 Feb 2007 Oscars.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of that website's terms of use of its content. However, if the copyright holder is a party unaffiliated from the website's publisher, that copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider verifying that you have specified sources for those files as well. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged per Wikipedia's criteria for speedy deletion, F4. If the image is copyrighted and non-free, the image will be deleted 48 hours after 00:43, 16 September 2010 (UTC) per speedy deletion criterion F7. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Soundvisions1 (talk) 00:43, 16 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
