Fairuse images in userboxes

[edit]

As I mentioned before, you cannot use a copyrighted image unless it has been properly licensed for usage by anyone in a userbox. That includes the Settlers of Catan logo and the Rammstein logo. The way you have used these images is not permitted, that is why I made that revert on the Template:User Catan template. Both of those templates are therefore not allowed, you have to either replace the image with one with proper permission for that usage or just delete the templates. Where did you mention this before? I'm new at this and I did not know that logos were not permitted in the userboxes... I just thought someone was pissed off at my editing their userbox. I don't even know if this is the right place to be replying to this... --Grimwold 12:25, 4 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
It was in the history page when I made the revert on the user catan template. Editing people's userboxes in too extreme a manner is kinda taboo, but it was the fair use rule that I was riding you for. Wikipedia:Fair use Janizary 21:33, 4 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed Methodism project

[edit]

It occurred to me that there is not now a functional group dealing with articles related to Methodism. I have thus created a proposal at Wikipedia:WikiProject Council/Proposals#Methodism for a group which might deal with such content. If you are interested, please feel free to indicate as much there. Thank you. John Carter 17:33, 10 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
