Wiki Editing - ScholarScribe

Hello Dr. Lucas,

I've created the username of ScholarScribe for our assignment and chose to make edits to the College of Coastal Georgia Wikipedia page. I chose to update outdated names of buildings and academic programs, along with some practice uploading a photo that should have been included on the page. Thank you!

Amanda Austin ScholarScribe (talkcontribs) 15:39, 24 October 2023 (UTC)

@ScholarScribe: Received. Thanks! —Grlucas (talk) 14:24, 25 October 2023 (UTC)

Hi Dr. Lucas,

For our NPOV Rewrite, I chose to revise a section in the Concussions in American football Wikipedia Article. In the NFL concussions section, there was a template message that the section was written like a personal essay, which was very true. I rewrote the section along with updating their sources, since they had the same exact source 4+ times in one section.

Thank you! Amanda Austin ScholarScribe (talkcontribs)14:14, 6 November 2023 (UTC)

@ScholarScribe: Very well done. Thanks. —Grlucas (talk) 13:35, 7 November 2023 (UTC)

NPOV Re-write

Dr. Lucas, I re-wrote/edited a section (Pre-colonialism) on the wiki page, Economy of Puerto Rico. Ceeg50 Ceeg50 (talk) 21:53, 28 October 2023 (UTC)

@Ceeg50: I see you edited this article (nice job!), but I'm not sure you changed anything to make it more neutral. Also, do not put external links in the body of the article. —Grlucas (talk) 14:06, 6 November 2023 (UTC)

NPOV Rewrite - better late than never?

Dr. Lucas,

I rewrote part of the "Evolution and purpose of codes of journalism" section of the [[Journalism ethics and standards]] page on Wikipedia. (this is Valerie Emerick BTW) Lloyd Dobler's Pen (talk) 01:08, 27 November 2023 (UTC)

Ledford_NPOV re-write

Dr. Lucas:

I re-wrote/edited the "Outline Section" on the Wikipedia page, Book of Jonah. The original wiki lacked sources. The outline of the book of Jonah:

Jonah flees his mission (chapters 1–2) Jonah's commission and flight (1:1–3) The endangered sailors cry to their gods (1:4–6) Jonah's disobedience exposed (1:7–10) Jonah's punishment and deliverance (1:11–2:1;2:10) His prayer of thanksgiving (2:2–9) Jonah reluctantly fulfills his mission (chapters 3–4) Jonah's renewed commission and obedience (3:1–4) The endangered Ninevites' repentant appeal to the Lord (3:4–9) The Ninevites' repentance acknowledged (3:10–4:4) Jonah's deliverance and rebuke (4:5–11)

I simplified it and added a source.

The Outline of the Book of Jonah. [edit] 1. Jonah Flees From His Prophetic Calling (1:1-2:10)[edit]

   1. Jonah’s Disobedience and its Consequences (1:1-17)
   2. Jonah's Deliverance and Thanksgiving (2:1-10)

2. Jonah Fulfills His Prophetic Calling (3:1-4:11)[edit]

   1. Jonah’s Obedience and Nineveh’s Repentance (3:1-10)
   2. Jonah's Jonah’s Displeasure at the Lord’s Salvation (4:1-11)

Please tell me how to make this better. Jman31474 (talk) 21:12, 31 October 2023 (UTC)

@Jman31474: Thanks. Always leave me links to your work, like Book of Jonah. Next, be sure you use proper wiki formatting for lists; this was correct until you changed it. You also removed a reference and links. Why is that? You might try again, as your edit was reversed, being sure to get the formatting correct. —Grlucas (talk) 14:15, 6 November 2023 (UTC)
I went back to Book of Jonah and made corrections. I included a source outside of the Bible that provided a more neutral point of view. I also updated the "talk" and "history" pages. Jman31474 (talk) 20:39, 27 November 2023 (UTC)

Jason Ledford_NPOV Rewrite

According to [[[with minor POV problems]| the Wikipedia article [Welch] maintains POV issues regarding an unsourced opinion. This is an “easy fix”. I deleted the comment and made the appropriate comment in the history section and talk section of the article calling it an “unsourced claim.”

“Noah is an absolute beauty of a man![opinion] Great salad and posture.[opinion]”

@Jman31474: I assume you mean Noah Welch? Also, I need to know your name to give you credit. Thanks. —Grlucas (talk) 17:26, 27 November 2023 (UTC)
