Welcome[edit]

Hey Grzegorz, since nobody else seems to have done it, an official welcome would be in place, I think. Więc witam! Bieńwiąt! Once I saw your user name Grzegorj on Talk:Proto-Slavic language I had a hunch that it might be you. Anyway, I have been a very frequent guest of your Polish grammar pages, and I have always enjoyed them thoroughly. They have played quite a vital role in the development of my constructed language Wenedyk. Funny to meet you here now! Pozdrawiam, IJzeren Jan 18:50, 5 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Nice to meet you too! And what nice news about Wenedyk! I am paricularly glad that my humble website is helpful for you. I tried to give some contributions for Wikipedia some time ago already - but if I only have more free time... :-) Grzegorj
Oh, I'm not particularly active here either. Mostly in the Dutch wikipedia, but a current discussion about conlangs has drawn my attention. Indeed, your pages have been extremely helpful to me. And BTW, I also liked your Kashubian pages; I have been looking for info about Kashubian on the Internet, and your stuff was the best I could find. Cheers, IJzeren Jan 21:56, 5 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

PIE,[1][edit]

hi Grzegorj, could you address my concerns before reverting to your version, please? See also WP:CITE; thanks, dab () 10:11, 14 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Dbachmann, I have addressed, see [2]
I hadn't noticed, sorry. dab () 10:59, 14 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

3rd palatalisation[edit]

Hello there, panie Grzegorzu!

I have a small request to you: please have a look at this and tell me two things:

  • Do you agree with what's written about the third palatalisation in Slavic?
  • What do you think of the table, which presents the chronology of the changes from Proto-Slavic to Modern Slavic?

Any input on your part will be greatly appreciated. Mucho obrigado in advance! --IJzeren Jan 13:41, 20 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Bravo![edit]

I just read your words at the Grammatical gender page. You argued knowledgably, intelligently, honourably and patiently. I wish I had been around to support you, but I have only just started at Wiki. You did manage to pursuade FilipS of the important things too.

Do you understand gene expression in brain development? Do you know any good sources? I want to learn more about this, and I find it very difficult to understand.

Respect to you my friend. Alastair Haines 16:09, 16 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your message. I understand exactly everything you describe. I have had some disagreeable experiences at Wiki myself. The problem comes when several people all care about an article, and numbers rather than sources determine what ends up on the page. Mainly I keep myself to writing up articles no one else has thought of writing. With other pages I only change little things, bit by bit.
If your own web-site is ready for guests, and if there is English content, I would love to have a look. Sorry, but I do not understand Polish, so I could only appreciate things you've written in English. Your expression is very clear, and your academic integrity, knowledge and courtesy are apparent in many things you say. I am sure I would learn and enjoy reading. Leave a link at my page if you have some time.
Again, best regards, Alastair Haines 14:31, 18 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
