Advice re multiple accounts
[edit]Hello Gud music only, a checkuser has determined that you are operating two user accounts, this one and User:Money is tight. Please carefully read our policy on sock puppetry and ensure that you comply with it fully. In particular note that you should show on both user pages that you are the same editor to avoid confusing others, and you must avoid any appearance that the two accounts support each other in discussions and edits. If you have further questions you can ask them here and I will try to answer. Franamax (talk) 01:37, 22 January 2011 (UTC)
- Hello Franamax, I posted a new section on your talk page but you didn't answer. Yes I'm User:Money is tight. The reason I registered this account was because I wanted to ask some question about music on the reference desk and I felt it was a bit (shameful). Is that ok with wikipedia's policies? If not you can delete this account. I'm not a vandal or trying to support my own arguments you can check my account User:Money is tight contributions I mostly just ask questions. Thanks. - Yes I did edit a math article. I'm a math student as you can see from my other account. The article had a mistake in it it's supposed to say a total order, but it says partial. How you define a unique bijection when the order is only partial? Furthermore, it first says choose a total order then for some unknown reason it changes total to partial. You can confirm this with someone well established such as User:Point-set topologist or User:Algebraist or User:EmilJ. Coming to think of it can you just transfer my edits on this account to User:Money is tight? I realized I did something wrong but I really didn't know much about wikipedia's policies until now. I don't even know how to LaTeX! Thanks. Gud music only (talk) 02:17, 22 January 2011 (UTC)
- Someone reverted it as an unexplained change, so you need to use a better edit summary or put a note on the talk page of the article. It sure won't be me evaluating it. ;) We can't transfer edit history between accounts or delete the accounts themselves, all history gets kept. You can scramble your password for this account if you don't want to be tempted to use it again or you can just leave it. Or use it for more music questions. Just don't cross over. - And let me say that you didn't do anything horribly "wrong" wrong. You're allowed to not have read every single policy and you didn't abuse multiple accounts. In fact, it was pretty much an accident that this came up at all. I've changed the title of this thread, you should consider this advice, not a warning. Strong advice, yes, but don't take it as a threat please. Franamax (talk) 08:25, 22 January 2011 (UTC)
