WikiProject Central Asia

[edit]

Hi - based on your interests on your userpage, I thought you might be interested in WikiProject Central Asia.

Mongolia work group

[edit]

Hi, I'd like to invite you to the Mongolia work group of the WikiProject Central Asia. You're welcome to add that page to your watchlist and participate in discussions there. So far, many general discussions about topics related to Mongolia have been discussed on individual user's talk pages, away from the attention of a wider audience. I hope that a centralized talk page will make communication between all of us easier. If a question doesn't primarily concern just one specific user, then the work group is probably the right place to ask it. See you there! --Latebird (talk) 06:28, 25 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of Jamie Winchester

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Jamie Winchester requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for musical topics.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the article or have a copy emailed to you. ww2censor (talk) 23:40, 16 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Re your message: Sure, not a problem. I restored the page to User:Inmongolia/Jamie Winchester so that you can work on it without anybody re-tagging the article for deletion. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 18:21, 17 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Re your message: It's looking better. I made a few changes to clean up a few things. I also added in a very minimal Infobox that you can fill out per the documentation at Template:Infobox Musical artist. With the Infobox filled out, I think the article will look better. A few things that you might want to add is a discography section for him and a bit more detail on the Hungarian chart that he topped. I'm not familiar with the Hungarian chart system, but if you could be more specific about which chart he topped, that would be better. For example, if it was a Pop chart, Dance chart, or another genre. But like I said, I'm not familiar enough with the Hungarian charts to be able to give you better directions. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 06:14, 19 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Goodhabitz moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, Goodhabitz, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page.
