My RfA

Thank you for the trust that you had in me when you supported my Request for Adminship. The nomination ended successfully and I am actually overwhelmed by the support that I received. Thanks again! -- Kim van der Linde at venus 06:18, 3 June 2006 (UTC)

Underneath-it-All's RfA

She has accepted. —Eternal Equinox | talk 21:09, 7 June 2006 (UTC)

Please accept difference

I would like you to have more respect for other wikipedians' views, even if they are unusual, they may have a lot to say about it (as I do). I prefer admins to be multilingual, and I do not see any reason why you should not accpet it. Myrtone@Gwernol.com.au:-(

Personal Attacks....

Trancating and blocking facts is mass personal attack. Excuse me if I suspect there may be some anti-Hungarian sentiments, I've been more and more aware of them over time, I hate discussing it. If you don't even know or understand the situation or context then you need to take your pace; in fact, why not take some pace in administrating and not jump to conclusions to quickly.

--G-Spot 17:44, 8 June 2006 (UTC)

Verify?

Not always possible, how much of Wikipedia is verified period? How can you say I ran in 2005 and then cut off a varified list of facts under that name, or deny the entry attached to it at all; total removal, not partial. Hey ever thought of doing some fact checking yourself, contacting my own father via his official site on the Wikipedia mention regarding First Team Talent Management (Actor and formal Clientas well). I verified plenty, but I have a life.

--G-Spot 15:02, 9 June 2006 (UTC)

Who's being vain?

I provide some information, you wate it with total whipes and brush strokes. I am not vain, I never expected to find myself on Answers, but I have to be if the others are, delete the fucken election history then, but don't climb up my ass bite me and then say I am making the personal attacks! Your calling me a self agrandizing liar, I am making sure facts stay in place, what I did originally is put links to some forgotten Mayoral Candidates, not myself, and that wasn't enough!

Look at past logs, research yourselves, Typical e-administrators, power mad.

Google Watch may be right about you.

I never mentioned my commentary-writer part or the idea that I am Wiki researching.

--G-Spot 15:49, 9 June 2006 (UTC)

Verified

They were to the best of possible matters. I tried in fact, but they removed the links of the publications and reliable sources.

Did you check? Oh and you do suggest it. No one corrects anything, they just remove things. --G-Spot 16:40, 9 June 2006 (UTC)

Ok, I think it's pretty well ready as well. You just need to sign acceptance now. Good luck! Petros471 14:28, 10 June 2006 (UTC)

I guess the thing with the nomination is, that I do most of the work by doing the contributions review. The nom is just the fun bit that comes after that. As I wouldn't nominate someone unless I'm personally sure that they would do a good job, I guess it ends up being pretty thorough! To be honest, it's going pretty well as I expected. Despite the comments about my nom, I could have just written 'great candidate, been here since x with y edits' and you'd have still been a clear pass. A nomination or few away I'm going to try and find a less obvious (though still suitable in my opinion of course) candidate and see if I can get a pass then. Oh and while on the subject of thank-you's I thought I'd better just check that you're not planning on spamming everyone with one of those standard thank you templates are you? A better option might be to do what I did and post a general one on your user/talk page and then send any personal ones that you feel are relevant (for example if someone provides you with new feedback or something). Petros471 17:26, 12 June 2006 (UTC)
Congrats! It's closed with exactly the same level of support that EWS23's did, nice :) Petros471 14:44, 17 June 2006 (UTC)

Narrow gauge in Portugal

Hi! After voting in your RfA I've noticed that you have a great interest in narrow gauge railways. I'm Portuguese and I grew up side by side with a narrow gauge (1 m) line that links Oliveira de Azeméis to Espinho through São João da Madeira and Santa Maria da Feira. I believe it is the last narrow gauge line in Portugal, the remaining were abandoned. The line is 98 years old and is run by the national company, the CP. Once it was a major link inside the District of Aveiro, transporting goods (especially wolfram, during WWII) and passengers. However, like the remaining narrow gauge lines in Portugal, it is in great danger and since the beggining of the year, there are only 4 trains a day. The regional committee of the Communist Party is colecting signatures in order to force a discussion about its rehabilitation in the parliament, but I have little hope. Anyway, if you want information, pictures, or any other stuff, just tell me, if I can, I'll glady help. Cheers! Afonso Silva 21:30, 10 June 2006 (UTC)

Sorry I didn't mean to. I think I posted my opinion over someone elses. Please forgive me. Regards 144.133.216.231 02:02, 11 June 2006 (UTC)

re: 17 Re: Verified (posted to my talk page)

Technically speaking, the Hungarian reference is relivant, and to some admittance I am facetiously making a point about how some of these "administrating" wannbe ammatuer "archivers" make expectations and when they are met do not find it helpful. Now I mention things, I provide as many references as I can, no one fact checks, at least not that I have seen, it was suggested I put external links there (oh and I have to mention photography, etc... as well) and the whole thing is eliminated, not just parts, the whole thing, not just disputed parts in fact. Now it isn't just you, your just defending or kissing the asses who you presume are on the defence of the matter; I am in the position of defendin facts. Why is the less interesting 2005 Election of Vancouver, BC (Remember there is a Vancouver, WA) mentioned not the 1996? There was a book on American Ex-Patriot Mayor of Vancouver, BC LD Taylor and finding that election was impossible; in 1996 there were hundreds of Mayoral Candidates, it was bizzare. I was one of them (as Gölök Z, L, F. Buday), I did lousy but I suppose it's significant that I was 18 at the time and the Youngest to run for that office, although I chose to play it down when I ran, granted when the press played it up with other candidacies they didn't approach me, LOL. The great electoral exploitation of youth. Hisorically 1996 was more relivant than 2005 or 2002 (where I was again and improved but did worse than 05) and 1999, one of the worse, since they just through the 100 dollar deposit on candidates after the 1996 Candidate list caused a knee jerk. Plus like in 2005, the press was lazier than ever (and in 2005 one Paper, (the new) Terminal City) died after canning Darren Atwater of the newer paper/mag Only Magazine and Ian King took over as News Editor after a few intermediaries. I suppose I'll just drop links on discussion parts and let you research it. I have a life and more of my own %^&% to do. None-the-less, this is about following mass media, not actuall fact. I hardley would recomend this over a book or even CNN, in it's current shape. --G-Spot 11:15, 11 June 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for reverting

Thanks for reverting my user page, you got to return the favor! 217.42.122.239 has now been blocked. I've been vandalized 3x today by vandals I reverted, so I must be doing something right! Rlevse 19:43, 11 June 2006 (UTC)

Withdrawing

How do I officially withdraw my submission for Adminship? Thanks. --Slyder PilotE 00:23, 12 June 2006 (UTC)

I must have just scanned over that part obviously not thinking I'd be asked to withdraw so soon. --Slyder PilotE 00:32, 12 June 2006 (UTC)

I knew I was asking a little prematurely, but I thought I'd take a shot. No worries at this point on the NOs.--Slyder PilotE 00:49, 12 June 2006 (UTC)

Re:sprotecting my user page

That's ok. As I said you'll be able to do it soon! I'm replying to your other comment in the heading above about your RFA, as it's a more relevant topic heading! Petros471 17:17, 12 June 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for your support (and your congratulations...), as for making Wikipedia a better place, well, there's a lot to be done, but I'll try – Gurch 17:40, 12 June 2006 (UTC)

File:Motherussia.jpg Hello Gwernol, and thank you for your support at my request for adminship, which ended with an awe-inspiring 86/1/2 result. I plan to do much with my shiny new tools - but I'll start slow and learn the ropes at first. Please deluge me with assignments and requests - I enjoy helping out. D-flat minor

Can you show me that the D-flat minor key does exist by showing me a work in its key signature?? Georgia guy 18:19, 13 June 2006 (UTC)

Hi Gwernol, I've done a little bit of research on the pieces you listed, and I'm unfortunately of the opinion that none of them are legitimate. Please respond at the AfD. Thanks. TheProject 23:56, 13 June 2006 (UTC)

Absolutist Thinking

If you care about Wikipedia, you wouldn't want to see articles entitled Dicknail. Its obscure, obscene and it makes Wikipedia look like a joke. The idea that every piece of content is worth as much as any other is silly. Dreck is dreck, and its an absolute. If people spent less time worshipping the so-called wisdom of Courtney Love and more time learning how to write a complete paragraph, then maybe Wikipedia wouldn't be such a joke. Whew! george 20:04, 13 June 2006 (UTC)

RFA questions

I have left questions on your RFA. --Cyde↔Weys 23:17, 13 June 2006 (UTC)

Thanks

Dear Gwernol/Archive 6, thanks so much for your support during my recent successful request for adminship. I really appreciate it. You're next man -- looks like your Rfa is cruising! Take care -- Samir धर्म 05:35, 15 June 2006 (UTC)

Your user page

Done. I was thinking about your talk before, as it's more important to have that unprotected than userpage (anons contacting you for legitimate reasons). Btw, I've just sent you an email. Petros471 20:24, 15 June 2006 (UTC)
