July 2022[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm Nythar. Wikipedia is written by people who have a wide diversity of opinions, but we try hard to make sure articles have a neutral point of view. Your recent edit to 2022 anti-war protests in Russia seemed less than neutral and has been removed. If you think this was a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. NytharT.C 06:17, 19 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

  • Hello, Nyther. I understand that you are a much more experienced user in this project than I am (I had a few other accounts but none of them had 150+ edits) but i do seem to get why you marked my edit as non-neutral. I had written "(alleged by Russian Government)" and I don't think that is neutral. I have seen this "(Alleged)" in many place including in https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Republic_of_the_Congo_Civil_War_(1997%E2%80%931999) so I assume I can do the same? Aren't I rather reporting on the other sides allegations rather than stating them as facts?--Gwoll (talk) 16:23, 19 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Gwoll, I reverted your addition of "Neo Nazis (Alleged by Government of Russia)", and said in the edit summary, "Non-specific propaganda". Here are the reasons why:
    1. Source?
    2. "Neo-Nazis" is a very unspecific claim. There are neo-Nazis all over the world, so which neo-Nazis is the Russian government referring to? They often cite the Azov Battalion in Ukraine, but if that's what they mean by "neo-Nazis", why not include "Azov Battalion" instead? Maybe they mean something else.
    3. To add such a claim, please seek consensus on the article's talk page.
    I hope that was a good explanation :) NytharT.C 02:16, 20 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I was refering to that propaganda video by the Russian government were the Russian police was raiding some "Neo-Nazi" group in Russia planning to kill Putin. I know the video was 100% staged and all but that why I added the "alleged"?
Any further discussion will be in the article talk page, thank you for the feedback? Gwoll (talk) 03:44, 20 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
