Dahmer poll[edit]

Thanks for your dialogue on the talk page of the Dahmer article. I respect your patience alone in seeking the insertions. :) As you are the individual seeking inclusion of a music section on the Dahmer article, I personally believe you should be the one to open the dialogue on the article (maybe with the header Request for comment) and a few sentences explaining why you believe such entries should be worthy of inclusion. Give the poll sufficient time to attract a reasonable number of comments (you could search this aspect more as I have participated in several polls on Wiki. but never conducted one myself). As is the case (rightly), consensus governs. I hope you do not think I am being awkward here (the tag I mentioned in my most recent reply existed before or very shortly after I joined Wiki. in 2008), but I do personally hold concerns allowing even a concept album will "warrant" mentions in fictional crime series, hosted amateur YT podcasts, or suchlike. We will see how this goes.--Kieronoldham (talk) 20:28, 9 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

RfC template/statement need to be reversed[edit]

I noticed the RfC you posted for Jeffrey Dahmer. The template should be positioned above the statement. As I understand how this works, the bot is unable to post the statement on the RfC page - it's missing - plus the RfC displayed on Dahmer's Talk page is out of order The order, then, should be: template on the first line, then the statement on the second. Easy to fix. If this were an ordinary posting, as opposed to a RfC, I would've simply fixed it myself. But now that I took a look, I see the bot already detected your error and removed the template. You can re-do it yourself - and must because I can't "sign" your post. Also, the bot "said" you entered an improper category ("rfc").
I believe it would be best to start over. First, click Edit on your improper RfC posting, and then copy your text but not the title. Then block and delete (NOT cut) everything from the title to your signature at the end. Once you click Publish Changes, your initial posting will be removed entirely so that you can start over.
Start over by clicking the New Section tab. Enter a title as before, enter the template first without the offensive "rfc" category, on the next line paste in your copied text (fix "discussion", it's mis-spelled), add your signature, click Show Preview to review what you've done, and if everything is okay, click Publish Changes. If needed you, can make as many changes as you want between a series of Previews and clicking Publish, so always preview your posts.
It'll take a while for the bot to complete the process once you publish but you should be good to go, Let me know when you're done and I'll review it to make sure. You can skip my last suggestion if you feel it's unneeded. Allreet (talk) 15:52, 16 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
