Beni Isguene moved to draftspace[edit]

An article you recently created, Beni Isguene, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Wikipedia and copyright[edit]

Control copyright icon Hello HELLO IM NAZEEF! Your additions to Draft:Beni Isguene have been removed in whole or in part, as they appear to have added copyrighted content without evidence that the source material is in the public domain or has been released by its owner or legal agent under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. (To request such a release, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission.) While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from sources to avoid copyright and plagiarism issues.

  • You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
  • Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify the information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
  • We have strict guidelines on the usage of copyrighted images. Fair use images must meet all ten of the non-free content criteria in order to be used in articles, or they will be deleted. To be used on Wikipedia, all other images must be made available under a free and open copyright license that allows commercial and derivative reuse.
  • If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. Understand, though, that unlike many other sites, where a person can license their content for use there and retain non-free ownership, that is not possible at Wikipedia. Rather, the release of content must be irrevocable, to the world, into either the public domain (PD) or under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. Such a release must be done in a verifiable manner, so that the authority of the person purporting to release the copyright is evidenced. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
  • Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you must follow the copyright attribution steps described at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. See also Help:Translation#License requirements.

It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Moneytrees🏝️Talk/CCI guide 17:53, 27 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

It appears you ignored this warning and then almost immediately created another blatant copyright violation outside of the draft space. Since you have a habit of not responding to warnings, I've disabled this account until you can respond that you understand the problem and will not repeat it. November 2021[edit]

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you recently removed maintenance templates from Talk:Ibrahim Boughali. When removing maintenance templates, please be sure to either resolve the problem that the template refers to, or give a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Please see Help:Maintenance template removal for further information on when maintenance templates should or should not be removed. If this was a mistake, don't worry, as your removal of this template has been reverted. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia, and if you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. In the case of an OldProd tag, there is no way to "resolve" the problem. It's a permanent marker. Thank you. Largoplazo (talk) 13:15, 28 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Ok ... why won't they occur again? Try to think about it in total quality management terms: How did I get it wrong? What steps will I take to avoid making the same mistake? Daniel Case (talk) 05:47, 29 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I have thought about that already. I was bkocked for copyright issues as I was inserting image which were copyright. I won't insert and use copyright images again. Can I please be unblocked???

Hi. You haven't answered the questions above. Until that happens there's no point in lodging more identical requests. -- Euryalus (talk) 08:29, 4 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Just to add to the above: on November 27 you were asked not to upload copyright materials. As Kuru points out above, a day later you ignored that warning and uploaded more copyrighted material to the now deleted article on Bene Isguene. I don't think you did this maliciously: your edit history suggests you might be a new editor who is a bit unfamiliar with Wikipedia editing policies. However, as it says at Wikipedia's copyright policy: Contributors who repeatedly post copyrighted material despite appropriate warning may be blocked from editing by any administrator to prevent further problems. Contributors who have extensively violated copyright policy by uploading many copyrighted files or placing copyrighted text into numerous articles may be blocked without warning for the protection of the project. These blocks are usually indefinite, pending satisfactory assurances that infringement will not continue. And that's the reason for the block in your case.
So where to from here? There's no point in just posting more unblock requests saying you won't do it again. The time for that was after the first warning. Instead, you kind of need to show you've read and understand the contents of WP:COPYVIO and know that neither images nor text can just be cut-and-pasted from copyrighted websites onto Wikipedia pages. It doesn't need to be an essay on the subject, just something that puts the policy in your own words and proves you know it. Once that occurs, please feel free to post a new unblock request. -- Euryalus (talk) 03:15, 5 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
