Not sure how much support it would get, community-wide, but it rarely hurts to ask. I'd recommend the village pump to get a good amount of attention; probably the policy section in this particular case. If not there, then the wikiEN-l mailing list is another good spot. From there, it gets discussed and all sorts of things. Good luck. Luna Santin 13:28, 31 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you, I think I will have the large support for it :) --HIZKIAH (User • Talk) 13:30, 31 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hey -- just so you know, I marked WP:AN2 for deletion, since the 2RR policy is not accepted. I also modified the WP:2RR page to simply explain the difference between it and the 3RR; there's no need to copy the entire page -- the community is well aware of the 3RR and the 2RR page should only explain the differences for now. Please use Preview, rather than saving pages several times[edit]

I would like to thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. However, it is recommended that you use the preview button before you save; this helps you find any errors you have made, and prevents clogging up recent changes and the page history. Thanks again. --David Spalding (  ) 16:32, 31 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

2RR[edit]

Yes, I'd support as a noticeboard for possible edit wars, but I'm not sure I'd support it with 24-hour blocks, etc., unless 3RR was dumped. I like it now as a proposal. The ikiroid (talk·desk·Advise me) 19:12, 1 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

question[edit]

hello,

i suggested to add to the article "israel" a link to the israeli government blog.

it seems you took out the idea from the talk page without adding the link to the "see also" and "media" sections of the article.

why is that?

amos 68.175.53.163 06:42, 8 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

hello, still waiting for an answer.

amos Amosmos 04:03, 9 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

thank you for answering. but still, from the same page you sent me to: "Of course, an article can report objectively about such things, as long as an attempt is made to approach a neutral point of view." the blog i suggested is written officialy by the government of israel and it is, out in their words, a source of information about israel beyond the headlines. even they say that the usage of a blog is just a tactic - which i agree that shouldn`t change the view of this site as a "blog" but can still find a place in "israel" article under israeli media on-line and external links. put it this way, if the government of israel would have officially built the same site, with the same information, and call it "everything you wanted to know about israel" site (and not "blog"), i`m sure you`ll agree it should show up on wikipedia. i feel this is the same case.

ALSO i feel it wasn`t very polite to just erase my suggestion from the "israel" article discussion page. even if your point is right, that is exactly the purpse of the discussion page. even if i would have agree with you about this matter (which i`m not) - you should have write back you desicion on the subject so i`ll know why it is not approved and how i should act on wikipedia in the future regarding cases like this. that`s all the idea of having an open encyclopedia and more than that - an open discussion.

i still ask you to review this idea again with the view i tried to explain, and if you still disagree - to put it back on the discussion page to let more people say what they think.

thank you very much, amos Amosmos 01:30, 10 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Israel image[edit]

You requested deletion for Image:LocationIsrael.svg; that image is on commons, so it cannot be deleted here. You'll have to go to commons:Image:LocationIsrael.svg and request deletion there. I've deleted the image description page you created here, since it wasn't actionable. Chick Bowen 06:21, 10 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
