How does this work?[edit]

I have sources throughout the page, why is it being flagged for deletion. I don't work for HomeVestors, I am a third-party contact writing this. Please help me. HomeVestors 00:35, 20 October 2010 (UTC)

Speedy deletion of "HomeVestors"[edit]

A page you created, HomeVestors, has been tagged for deletion, as it meets one or more of the criteria for speedy deletion; specifically, it is about a company or corporation, but it does not indicate how it is important or significant, and thus why it should be included in an encyclopedia. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and the guidelines for companies in particular.

You are welcome to contribute content which complies with our content policies and any applicable inclusion guidelines. However, please do not simply re-create the page with the same content. You may also wish to read our introduction to editing and guide to writing your first article.

Thank you. 5 albert square (talk) 00:22, 20 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Because we have a policy against usernames that give the impression that the account represents a group, organization or website, I have blocked this account; you are welcome to create a new account with a username that represents only you. You should also read our conflict of interest guideline. If your username doesn't represent a group, organization or website, you may appeal this username block by adding below this notice the text {{unblock|Your reason here}}. Thank you.
This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Request reason:

Please unblock my HVA North America account. These are my initials with my daughters initials and mean several things to me. I usually choose something I can remember. If needed, could I tell you another 3 letters for you to use and override this username?

Decline reason:

Unfortunately, "HVA" more likely refers to "Home Vestors of America" or something along that lines, based on the article you attempted to create. This kind of WP:PROMO is not permitted, and the conflict of interest is pretty bad. (talk→ BWilkins ←track) 20:40, 20 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

help[edit]

the reason why the article is up for deletion is becuase it has no importance or significance. we can create pages for every thing under the moon, so we limit by what in important. really there is not much you can do, but if you can get more reliable References and more people to support the article and prove it is important then it will stay. by the way getting article deleted in not to big of a deal you can allways do other things to help make wiki better. if you have anyother question or commments you can leave somthing on my talk --Gerty (talk) 01:20, 20 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on HomeVestors, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. ukexpat (talk) 20:08, 29 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
