• How do we know it’s a cathedral, and not just a church?

• "...reflect the artist’s soul and emotions in the landscape." – Got a ref? Or is that included in the Gopnik ref?

• FYI, preferred spelling is gray (in U.S. English, anyway), although grey is also OK.

• You could put "Museum für Kunst und Kulturgeschichte" in ital, but OTOH that’s its official name – I’ve always been ambivalent about whether to italicize foreign names of institutions and organizations.
