Tinted Windows[edit]

If you want to create an article about a band called that, you need to create it at Tinted Windows (band) or something similar. However, looking at your content, I doubt this band meets Wikipedia's notability requirements, just so you are aware. Thingg ^⊕^⊗ 20:08, 18 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

You're more than welcome to create an article about them, but when most people search for 'tinted windows' they're looking for Window film, not the band, especially if the band hasn't even released an album yet. While that may change, the fact remains that right now the vast majority of people will not be looking for the band and it is likely to stay that way for the foreseeable future. Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Tinted Windows. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Since Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by some search engines, including Google. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it.

File source problem with File:Tinted windows-press09.jpg[edit]

File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:Tinted windows-press09.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 19:59, 24 February 2009 (UTC). Speedy deletion of File:Tinted windows-press09.jpg[edit]

A tag has been placed on File:Tinted windows-press09.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section I9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted images or text borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on [[ Talk:File:Tinted windows-press09.jpg|the talk page]] explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay.
