Punjab (India)

[edit]

There is a separate article on Khalistan and its talk page has enough discussion on the subject. The fact remains that the armed struggle began much earlier ... the extent of fortification in the Golden Temple and the events that led to the operation go a long way in proving that. AnwarA 16:18, 5 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I believe that the section, in particular the Para on Khalistan need only present a high level summary since there is already a (rather controversial) article on Khalistan already. :-) AnwarA 16:30, 5 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Well, first of all, I appreciate your willingness to discuss before reverting edits. This is not something very commonly seen on Wikipedia. As for the article and the subject of Khalistan, if you see the Khalistan talk page, you would realize I have been involved in a lot of discussion ad-nauseam with a number of rogue editors and have been called names like Hindu Bigot and stuff like that. So not that I am averse to discussing, but this discussion thing does not seem to work on this subject (like many others). I have made some changes to the article that you might find appropriate. But if you don't please feel free to revert to a version of your choice and I will not revert your edits. Thanks and good luck!AnwarA 04:33, 7 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The article just got unprotected.I would appreciate your erudition in the talk page and if you could please lend a hand in monitoring the edits there for anti-India POV then that would be great. Thank you very much.Hkelkar 18:15, 17 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Ballarpur Industries Limited, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert notability may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is notable, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Steve (Slf67) talk 09:00, 18 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned fair use image (Image:Pran 2.jpg)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Pran 2.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Delivered by grafikbot 10:38, 31 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Why did you re-added the categories to Ballarpur Industries Limited page which were deleted by me as these re-added ones are already part of 'category:Pulp and paper companies of India' and I am actually trying to move all the pages in 'category:Companies of India' to relevant sub-categories. Vjdchauhan 07:34, 2 February 2007 (UTC).

Well there were aspects not covered ( for instance Companies based in India, if it is WIP, once you have done it you could delete the superflous cats. Haphar 17:03, 2 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I have enough evidence of RA's violations,so I am confident unless the Arbcom makes an unfair judgement. RA on the other hand has little or no evidene against us as we really did nothing wrong.

I also have evidence against others involved which i will name when/if the time comes.--Nadirali نادرالی

Hi. Both your ip and your comment are available on wikipedia for anyone to see, hence there has not been any leak of your personal information. I shall ask blnguyen why he decided to make bakaman aware of the same. Regards, - Aksi_great (talk) 12:05, 13 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, but No Thanks

[edit]

Thanks for your post on my talk page. You are entitled to your opinions, and I certainly can't stop anyone from posting on my page (it being public space), but I keep my own counsel and don't need to be enlightened by anyone, including you. Very best regards, Fowler&fowler«Talk» 13:55, 13 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I guess what I meant was that I see myself as a neutral party in this dispute, and not on any side. As you will see on Nadirali's talk page, I echo Dbachmann's sentiments, that there are tag team efforts on both sides (i.e. Pakistan and India) and that in my opinion RA has been unusually aggressive towards the Pakistanis and, correspondingly, unusually benign towards the Indians. Fowler&fowler«Talk» 15:04, 13 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for your feedback. I suggest you may want to make a statement as an outside party. As for your specific concerns, I will answer them in full if/when the case is accepted and the proceedings begin. I thank you for keeping faith in me and I hope that my answers will assuage your concerns fully. Cheers, Rama's arrow 14:53, 13 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Dear Haphar, I read your remarks on Nadirali's page and I more or less agree with them. Sorry, I didn't realized where you were coming from (at first). Fowler&fowler«Talk» 19:15, 13 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Motto of Indian Army

[edit]

What is the motto of Indian Army? Chanakyathegreat 12:42, 14 February 2007 (UTC) The one Ittefaq stuff is added by me. It is the motto of the INA. Just added it because I cannot find motto of the Indian Army anywhere. There are lot of information on regimental mottos, institutions etc but not of the Indian Army. Oh no 2 years is quite enough, and given the effort you put into trying to bring me down, even to the extent of trying to allow banned users who engaged in anti-semitic speech their votes and sticking up for their deeds says enough about you.
